I still remember being a Oneness Pentecostal circa 2000 (I'm still a critic of Trinitarian wording), tuning in to a late night show (Jay Leno?) specifically to see Rachel Lampa get interviewed for her debut CD. I never watched Late Night TV before that. Skip to the end, and I saw her perform her hit song "Live For You". I was all excited about the 'crossover' of christian artistry to a more public space and genre (without losing its distinctiveness). Such things had far more relevance then (even Spielberg seemed to take note in 1998 with Prince Of Egypt soundtracks, so I'm not imagining things). Then "Wild At Heart" & such books helped more mature saints break away from formalism enough to move toward the homefront sometimes on their own, and yet the culture did not seem to know how to accommodate and follow them home with sufficient christian strength of united counsel. Wild Ones indeed, if that's what it takes.
