I listened to this repeatedly back in the 80s, probably when it first came out. Pulsar 9:37 remains my favorite track. Owned many of those cassettes until they wore out. I love finding these older gems on youtube.
Didn't appreciate this unique genre back in the 80s. But indeed now after looking into this style years ago and needing to find creative beautiful sounds. More than ever after noticing the dumbing down of music in general that seems to have become worse these past 20 years. Lot of this music created in the 80s is unlike anything made a decade after and still to this time. Ive compiled alot of this music in a CZcams list and enjoying this and many albums by other artists similar to this style.
This album is incredible, why isn’t it available on Halpern’s website or iTunes page? I love so much of his work but I do get annoyed by many of his promoted releases (unlike this one) which appear to be just re-arranged or simply re-mixed prior released tracks with some sort of theme specific subliminal adlibs thrown in.

Thank you for sharing this. Used to have the cassette and listened to it constantly.
The height of meditative relaxing music. LOVELY
Halpern's body of work seems to be very big. I love almost everything he did. Thank you SotD
This video was posted the same week COVID-19 was identified. This is much better.
So beautiful! Such a mix of Bladerunners' soundtreck and indian ethnic music.
"Kyoto 1999" is a journey in itself... what a track....
I like Dallas Smith lyricon very much!
So gentle. No urgency.

Donkey Kong Country, the part when they swim under the sea.
Sounds of the Dawn Very nice where can download individual tracks ?
Many thanks. I have many other Halpern albums but not this one. By the way 09:36 is Pulsar, not Puslar

had to give this a thumbs down because there's a million effing youtube ads that break up the vibe.
Buy the album then or support the artist
