Congratz on finding the Queen of this generation. No other artist can really compare to her today. The Mori's vocal break is a thing of beauty. The more you listen the more you will realize how truly exceptional this singer is. 7 year Mori fan here.

I'm one of a millions fans of Mori she is one of a mazing singers.

This is one of two songs she sang quite a few years ago while she was a guest DJ on Wish. She is famous throughout Asia known as Asia's Phoenix. She is now 27 and is considered the best female singer in the Philippines. She is from Cebu and therefore was educated primarily in English and so her English accent is primarily American. She sings mostly in English and Tagalog, but she has recorded songs in Bisaya, the native language of Cebu, and Korean. At the time of this performance her voice was measured at 5 octaves plus four notes, but many years later she has stretched both her high range and low range as she matures. She has quite a catalog of recordings, but she is considered an ultimate live performer. Her wish bus performances are epic and she still appears often on the radio station Wish 107.5 that helped make her famous on CZcams worldwide. Her last Signature EP 2021 charted high in the US and throughout many countries in Europe and Asia.
You've identified what's known as the Mori squeak. It's the vocal break heard around the world. It's sort of an instantaneous access to whistle register and no one does it like her. I believe this performance is what made both her and the Wish Bus You Tube sensations.
I've seen a number of voice coaches and singers say they wish they could figure out how to do her squeak.

It is both a bus and a radio station. All performances are done live and all the people around the bus can hear them. Singing is a big part of our life starting at an early age. Even non-professionals can sing well. Arnel and Morissette have a duet on the Wish Bus.

These are the five originals Morissette wrote herself - during the forced break of the pandemic, helped by her now husband then fiancee Dave Lamar who is a singer and songwriter: Trophy, Mjrror, Phoenix, Will You Stay, Love You Still. There are music videos, Wish Bus versions, live band versions and especially good are the RX 93.1 Monster radio versions that played live from her living room during the pandemic.
If you want to see how she cultivated her mastery during the pandemic, check out her accoustic version of Rise Up, her cover of Mariah Carey's Fly Like A Bird and finally her mashup of Moon River and Usahay - the latter being a classic love song from her part of the Philippines.
Post-pandemic power performances are the dance video of Undangon Ta Ni, a song written for her in her native Cebuano language, the Mitsubishi rock medley during an auto show, Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw band and Wish Bus versions, Pero Atik Ra and Bruno Mars medley.
Her quieter stuff recently was Color Everywhere which has a nice music video and "So Close" with the band Sponge Cola - this proves she doesn't always need to show her power.
She has a recent power duet with Jona performed at ASAP Milano which was on Sept. 10th.
Other than that she recently performed privately at a gay wedding near London, is working on an LP coming out next year, a musical movie where she plays a music teacher is in the works - "Song of the Fireflies" whose theme song "Alitaptap" will be on her LP, and she has several concerts coming up, two with other artists including one with KZ Tandingan who is great in a similar but different way, one solo concert in Sydney on December 9th. There are also her recent songs with her husband Dave Lamar as the duo "From The Sea" (derived from La Mar)..
Her rendition of Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is” during the MYX performance is worth checking. You won’t regret it!

There's no such thing as a Mariah Carey version because it's a PHIL COLLINS original 🇬🇧.
She's a vocal chameleon, who can slay any style. Her best known power ballad is Never Enough, where she tops the original by Lauren Allred while singing in the bus. She also beats Andra Day's original, singing a cover of Rise Up. In vocal competition videos, she almost always gets the most votes against the best singers in the world. Perhaps her most technically impressive and difficult songs are sung inTagalog, Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw (live band version), where she maxes out her belting powers and Akin Ka Na Lang, where she shows her incredible whistle range. She can also do delicate love songs like Love You Still (Sunset Version) and beautiful duets like Calum Scott's You Are the Reason with Daryl Ong. Mori is a world of her own. Once you get into her singing, it's hard to listen to anyone else because she sets a standard that's almost impossible to match.

Few things. First I wanna say great reaction. Mori is one of 2 of my favorite people to listen to. I'll ask you to react to the other one in a bit. Secondly there are 2 songs I'd recommend that aren't recommended very often and are often overlooked, but I think are more than worth checking out. First one is her rendition of I wanna know what love is MYX Live version. The other song, since you mentioned you got emotional on this song is Could you be Messiah. It's a very heartfelt song which will probably get to you.
My other group I love to death is Babymetal. I know you've done a couple songs and hope you continue to do more since it's been a few months! I'd highly recommend their song Megitsune. Anyhow, was fun watching you and looking forward to more!

Really she rarely uses falsetto, don't believe she used it once in this song. Original artis of this song is a 4 women group called Little Mix featuring Jason Derulo. Also FYI karaoke was invented by a filipino, Roberto del Rosario, a Filipino national, was granted patents in 1983 and 1986 for a device generally known as the “karaoke machine.
Very low vocal timbre, and reaches notes too low, to be a lyric soprano, it is more of an extended mezzo soprano.
The lyric soprano has a very ringing voice, already at the low notes, and can not use notes below f3, she is the opposite.

1. "I Want To Know What Love Is" - for 15 seconds whistle tone
2. "Resignation" on Asia's Song Festival 2018 - thats just such an emotional rollercoaster while singing in english and korean.
There is also another version of it with three languages she recorded at home in Covid time, that one is also fantastic, but i like her stage performance just even more, its just so fantastic.

She was known by the whole during the pandemic times and foriegn reactors including vocal coaches started to noticed her. If you can react to ther cover of never enough, then rise, all in wish bus, also rise up in acapella which she did during the pandemic which is fitting to the situation during that time that despite the situation that were in, we still can rise. This performance was neatly 6 years ago. Moro is a vastly better artist today. She had an incredible work ethic and it shows. My absolute favourite vocalist of all time. Another artist you should react to is an Australian singer called John Farnham. React to him singing anything with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He will blow your mind.
