- Exile is an American band originally formed in 1963. In the 1970s they were known as a rock band that had a major hit single with "Kiss You All Over" in 1978. After several lineup changes, the band was re-launched as a country act that achieved additional success in the 1980s and 90s. J.P. Pennington is the only current member of the band remaining from its early days.
This single reached #37 in the Dutch Top 40 on August 4, 1979.
The #4 song 'Kiss You All Over' is also on the Toppop channel.

I alway's thought that this was their best song, but you can never find it anywhere. Over the decades it seems to be one of those tunes that didn't chart as well as it should have. Which says a bit about the people running what gets airtime and what doesn't.

Interesting. This song is new to me. It's almost ahead of it's time for 1979, like a "proto-80s" sound because of the synthesizers but it still has the disco beat.

Wow, can't believe they formed as early as 1963...this lead me to revisit 'Kiss you all Over' and yeah, what a great band shame they did'nt really get anywhere in the UK.thanks TopPop once again.

They’re still playing in 2021 - not many bands can say this. Over 55 years in the music industry with timeless classics that people still enjoy

What I'd give to see them perform this song in concert as part of a rock set lodged somewhere in their country set. I will have to check out their tour schedule as I don't recall ever seeing them in the area.
