Love Metallica, all Metallica. I am not just in one stupid group, I listen to everything that sounds good to me. Even the Beatles if I am in the mood. I like Shinedown, some Avenged Sevenfold then I love Cannibal Corpse and Amon Amarth and I can listen to Beethoven, too. A little of everything. I like old Metallica, and the fact they tried different things. S&M, awesome to me. King Nothing is actually my favorite song by Metallica.

They're still bigger than any other thrash band out there besides the other 3 of the Big 4, but they're far from the success rates of Maiden, Slayer, Megadeth, and especially .....*sigh* Shitallica.

@MrHoopla metal or not AC/DC has sold 200million albums world wide, placing them firmly in the top 10 for any genre, not bad for a band that has never sold out, Maiden has 70million world wide, Metalica has more but they ceased to be "thrash" when Burton died, and as far as im concerned arent even metal anymore, theyre pop. but i didnt base what i said on album sales alone, i based it on what they brought to the table and what they did for the genre, that they are so different was a factor
@Scary2Stroke Try listening to Anthrax before you judge. Testament is one of the best heavy metal bands of all time. Definitely in the top 5. But they don't compare to Anthrax. Besides, they came out too late in the 80's to be in the Big 4. All the other bands were formed in the early 80's, whereas Testament was formed post mid-80's. If there was a Big 5 (which honestly makes more sense than the Big 4), Testament would definitely be in there.

not really?a lot of fans of Metallica only love songs like Nothing Else Matters,Fade To Black and the first part of One(these songs are not thrash)...I wouldn't say they're the first one who formed Thrash either(even though i like their music)

This is ok. They made it their own. But they do the same as a lot of bands do when they cover songs: to try and make it more hardcore, fx. in the main riff here, where they put a little pinch harmonic in. IMO that's just to make it "cooler" but it kind of loses the raw vibe.
