Thanks for the video, it helped me out no end.
I would like to add that when the fan is removed inside the fan housing you can just about see a square screen,Its level with he dash , my screen was so clogged it looked solid" feel for it" ,it is there but not easy to see .Blow the screen out with compressed air.The screen is not removable.Turns out my fan didn't need replacing .The screen was clogged solid with dirt.
Now it works like new. A new fan with a clogged screen will just cause back pressure and noise.I found this out the hard way.

Amazed that you where able to seperate the old resistor from its harness plug, those stinking things almost are always rusted together and discentegrate when you finally do get them to pull apart. Had to replace 3 of those harness plugs in my time on the 3 diffrent Rangers I have owned. Good to see you making videos again!

Yep. Watched my neighbor struggling to take apart that exact same plug a while back. My daughter's Ranger never required replacement.

If it's the resistor, the fan "will" run. But only on high !

385 thousand miles and the engine sounds like new (?). And, I would guess most of those miles are not highway miles. ...I like how easy the blower replacement was on the Ford Ranger. My 1990 YJ will need to have the whole heater unit, core and ducting, pulled and the firewall hole enlarged before it sees a new one (some day). Anyways...Rock on David!

All of my fuses are good.
I have an 01' I bought 10 Days ago. When I got it, the AC needs recharge-no problem. 4WD out-also a daily easy fix most of the time. So, I checked all the fuses; and then everything WENT TO HELL!
Fuses are all good, but at some point while I was checking them, this situation popped up......
Air Bag Warning light is on
    O.D. on/off no longer works.
The switch for the Fan Motor no longer works.
    Dome Light no longer works.
    Fuses ALL still good.
What in the FUCK is going on?!!!!!
If this can't be fixed, it will be my first and LAST Ford Ranger!!!!!
