Always great info Jason!!! Thanks for comparing these three units..so can't wait for the NDI capability of Nearstream as you mentioned to mix and match these cams in the platforms.
The next camera I get to dive into begins their Kickstarter campaign this week so we should be seeing ANOTHER great choice for live streaming cameras soon. The choices for spring ball will be great!
I do a grilling livestream. I'm in Texas. In June, my Canon overheated and shut down. It was about 130°f in the garage (studio) so we moved outside to my back porch for the next episodes. Then we had to move it to a later time, the temperature in the area was 105° to 115°. We moved it to 9pm, because that's when it finally dropped below 100°f for the day. Lol
Sounds like you’re grilling in an oven. The temps have been brutal this summer. Nice channel BTW!
@JasonHoffmanYT thank you very much for the compliment, and thank you for sharing your knowledge of live streaming
Thanks for the comparison, very usefull information. Everyone has features that they are attracted to, for me it's the optical zoom therefore I am leaning toward the NearStream VM33 over the others. The Emeet Streamcam One is also impressive however, it does not appear to have optical zoom (Correct me if I'm wrong). The overall video quality of the Mevo Start seems to be inferior to the two newer options and as you said, software can improve overtime but you are stuck with hardware until a new model comes out.
Seeing that you review so many cameras, which one do you use regularly for church streaming and is that the same camera you use when streaming baseball games?
I still use the Mevo as my side shots in church and for baseball streaming. Here’s why: software. The zoomed image is better in the Mevo than Emeet. And I can bring other cameras into the Mevo Multicam software via NDI. Neither of these other two are NDI capable yet but i have others that I can use. This coming baseball season I’ll have a Mevo behind the plate, an Obsbot Tail Air on the first and third base lines and (if it has NDI by then) a NearStream in center field. All will be run in the Mevo Multicam app.
In a studio environment, on stationary position multi cams (for podcast video purpose) what will be the #1 choice in your opinion ? Image quality as the number 1 priority. Thanks in advance
Stationary position, one camera per personality in the podcast? VM33 has the best image quality. Not the best software yet but image is there. It’s a 2k sensor. If you need to set up a little farther back it has optical zoom.
I enjoyed it. It was definitely an impressive review, and I learned a lot about the Stream Cam that I will be purchasing in the future. Although I only knew about Mevo Start, I participated in many of your video reviews and learned a lot. In terms of software, LOGITECH's Mevo is definitely an appropriate Stream Cam, but on the other hand, future software development is expected for the remaining two Stream Cams. However, if you had to choose one piece of equipment out of those three, what would you recommend?
Thank you! On software alone the choice is the Mevo. A year from now it will be a very different streaming landscape.
@@JasonHoffmanYTthank you so much. Your review is the best review for me.
Jason, great video as always. in your opinion, if you had to choose for your CF OTS camera, would you choose the emeet, nearstream, or hold out for the osbot tail air? and if money were not a consideration does something like the Zowietek PTZ NDI that you linked above blow them all away? thanks as always for your insights. Very much valued
For the OTS, if you can get the signal back to you, a true PTZ 20 or 30x zoom is the way to go. If NearStream gets their NDI baked in it will be a really good option, but it will only be the one shot unless you re-position the camera.
@@JasonHoffmanYT ok thanks for the insight. I’m leaning towards going the wireless ndi route as I should be able to get the signal
I’d love to see your setup when you get it put together.
@@JasonHoffmanYT you bet. I’ll be using the off season after fall ball to create my streaming football (like others have done with a pelican case or equivalent.) will hit you up when I have it ready!
Which camera has the clearest picture when zoomed or cropped in?
Because of its optical zoom capability the NearStream is the best picture when zoomed.
Have you had any luck using the “Use EMEET camera hotspot and cellular of your mobile” feature with your EMEET camera? Mine just keeps spinning.
Yes on my iPad, no on my iPhone. Weird but it's what I get. Have you tried choosing your country code instead of leaving it auto? That seems to be what let me connect to hotspot mode on the iPad.
Yeah I was able to get it to connect to my iPad also, but it doesn’t have cellular so it won’t work at the ball field. I sent them a message so hopefully they have a work around for the phone.
Даа, прикольненько
Thanks!
