The principle of confict of interest is against a public official purchasing a state asset.. if a public official is interested in acquiring a state asset, parliament must approve a certificate of authority set by a committee to investigate the worthiness of the asset and make sure there is no conflict of interest, then finally the speaker will accent his signature for the take over. This process wasn't placed before parliament. Nonetheless, this administration is looting and grabbing state lands especially in Accra.
