I'd be completely fine with paying a monthly subscription like 10 bucks a month to have a live person watch tapes if you get reported repeatedly. First strike would be 5 days ban. 2nd strike 2 week ban, 3rd strike a month and a half ban. 4th strike your account is banned forever and you can never play gt7 or any other game PD makes for racing on that account. These type of people I would I wish would just disappear from the world. No one would even care I'm guessing. The consequences have to be enormous.

The whole notion that if you don't give someone attention they'll just stop doesn't actually apply here _or anywhere else_ .. It's what your mom said when you got bullied, but the bullies didn't relent, did they? Cause they're bullies... They like bullying.
Kimi has been doing this for literally years. There are videos of him in GT Sport doing the exact same thing. He likes racing games, and this is how he drives... The dude plays GT7 like it's wreckfest. That's how he likes to drive... And the fact that there's no penalty for doing so means he'll keep on doing it whether he gets youtubers attention or not. He already gets plenty of pleasure from ruining a bunch of people's races.
Again, youtubers making vids about him is just a bonus for the guy. It's also the only way he's ever gonna get got. People booing him in chat after he leaves the race isn't exactly going to get his ass banned. And reporting a player obviously does nothing, no one at Polyphony is sitting around watching replays to catch dirty drivers all day, that is NOT happening. The only way to get PDs eyes on this is to make videos. Simple as that.
It's actually more likely that he'd double down and get worse if people didn't pay attention to him anymore. If he cares about that attention, he'd just work harder to attain it.
I have done about 5 dailies since GT7's release, for the reasons you point out.
I used to race 5-10 times a day. Its all single-player in VR2 for me these days.
They get better once you build up to a DR of C or better.
I tend to agree with you but daily racing outside of the midfield is still pretty fun. Midfield nuclear madness is stupid though

@@supercededman B is the sweet spot for me. I found A over competitive with people trying to get up to A+ at any cost using filthy driving techniques.
Just did race B. It was alot of fun for about half a lap, then I got rammed into a sand trap and got a .5 penalty. The Alphard drives weird but this is a fun combo.
PD must fix these dirty race tactics.
They should have swapped daily race A and B, this is a ridiculous race even without dirty drivers

Upgrade the SR ratings and make it self policing. The higher your SR, the more weight your bad driver reports get. If a driver gets enough report points from similar rated drivers, they drop down a rank.
There are so many dirty drivers but until there is a way to report it, there is no way to stop it. Maybe they can get Sophy to look into it.
You can report but it's a pain to find. Buts it's in the game
This race all week has been the equivalent of those figure-8 school bus races at the county fairgrounds.
Hi Kireth, How can I get Polyphony Digital to fix my Account?
I was almost to an A DR rating in GT7, I won a race followed by a 2nd place (clean). My DR suddenly went back to almost a C rating. It now shows DR=B Barely and SR=B. I think it should be DR=A and SR=A. How can my DR and SR get fixed to where it should be?
I invest a lot of time trying to get better and better, my DR and SR are VERY important to me. I feel deflated and not sure I want to struggle back to DR=A, it takes a LOT of races.
Bad BOYS ARE EVERYWERE In a CAR driving GAME !!
They don't take their own game seriously, and it will never compete with ACC or iRacing until they do.
Their penalty system is hot trash.. as evidenced by Kimi never getting a penalty. Even when he spins someone out intentionally, and runs them off the track, he gets nothing for it.
a good ranking system with rules for safety would fix this problem nearly by itself. They just can't be bothered to develop a system that works.
It's the stability-control system that lets him punt people like this. They should remove that completely. How it works is you get your car up against the rear side of another car, push the car slightly to the side and let the stability control take over and straighten your car again. As long as the stability control is what pushes the car, you get no penalty because it's kinda "the game" that does the pushing.
Remove stability control and this type of fishtailing won't work anymore. No one on a wheel should be able to enable stability control, and stability control should in no way negate penalties.
If you watch videos of kimi you can see that stability control icon flashing constantly when he's fishtailing people. Without that feature, he'd get penalties up the wahzoo.
This race is chaotic even without kimi. Find a way to pass, bump draft, watch your radar, drive to survive.
I’ve given up trying. Got my S rating for sportsmanship but just struggle with the races and cannot get out of C races due to constantly getting rammed off 😡
I feel your pain , have two accounts one for races like Monza that is a rating wrecker , the other where the track is less prone for punting
What about B,C,D,E groups, ban everyone there as well? I'm an A+ driver and created a second account this week for more relaxed driving, already in B after 15 races and have never seen a clean race so far. It's not about Kimi, it's about algorithm that PD must evolve to encourage clean driving. In the meantime consider this as a challenge to train counter-steering or unpredictable situations on the road. It's an experience that makes you a more skilled driver after all.
Its not only kimi , my rating is months D - S i cant get it up , i start almost top 10 after QL but then the rammers takes me out every race without a penalty , if i pixel a curbe got a second penalty... last time i got a 7,5 sec pen for someone hitting me 😂

They should mark all dirty drivers and make them only race each other.
I guess all the other drivers when entering a race with "HIM" in it don`t know him ! Because if they did then surely the best thing to do is just quit that one race ! I was watchin "DeadEyeDelboy" the other day where he clicked on a message to report someone and looks like they followed up his complaint. I have not looked but I guess there is not a "Report" button for reckless driving!
There isn't but if you call them out in chat and use the wrong word you get reported by them. And like me get a week's ban , so they are safe from any recourse even verbally
Genuine question - can people block the PSN user? Yes it's up to Polyphony to prevent this from happening and it's annoying as hell because I've been punted off about 5 or 6 times in the last 3 days after I've completed clean overtakes, but I know you can block players on PSN so would that not stop him being able to join a lobby that you're apart of?
Dirty driving is the one thibg that keep me for racing in sport mode. I cant make sure that people have the same respect for other people that i have.
That first series of turns have been a train wreck in DR B this week. It's a crap shoot if half the field makes it through or not.
And he's such a fast driver huh. If he really raced, it would be a good competetor.
You know its like they do nothing with the reports. This makes other drivers wanting revenge and then it's dirty allover
I'm pretty much just drifting in GT7 now. It's gotten rough as hell. I get more pleasure from drifting badly than getting rekt by assholes. I'm still in scrub league (D) but I have an S safety rating, so the racers are quite clean.. But then I get towards the top of D and I start getting mixed in with the C class people, but not the C S people, the C D people, the ones who leveled out of D by just punting people.... It's just a nightmare. No idea why I have to fight my way past the C D drivers to get into C.... Match me with C S people, I'm here trying to drive safe and then these assholes just come and destroy the whole race.
At this point I'm just losing my way back to lower D just so I don't have to deal with the dirty drivers. Absolute garbage people.
They should restructure the matchmaking to make sure safe drivers don't get mixed in with the dirty ones. Just make every D SR driver race other D SR drivers... No need to mix those scumbags in with the rest of us.
I'll just keep on drifting until they get on this.

The attention is just an added bonus for him. He's not gonna drive clean even if the tubers turn a blind eye. And no one at PD is doing anything to dirty drivers because there's literally no one there sitting around watching replays to see if people are dirty drivers or not.. When you report a driver, do you think PD has a guy who spends 20 minutes watching a race replay to find out if the reported player is actually a dirty driver? Obviously not. They have ZERO people doing that. Zero.
If you want anyone banned, naming and shaming is literally the ONLY way for that to happen. Making PD aware of all the insanely dirty driving going on right now is the ONLY way this gets better. Turning a blind eye and thinking Kimi is going to become a clean driver is just naive as hell. The psychology of a bully doesn't work that way. He knows that every race he does is frustrating for the other racers, and that is PLENTY for his sadist ass to continue what he's doing. His infamy just adds to the joy for him, like how sprinkles make ice cream better.. Yet I eat ice cream without sprinkles on the regular. Remove the sprinkles and I'm still all in on ice cream.
The fact that he gets his rocks off by the fame doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. What matters is getting PD to realize this is an actual problem.
If not outright banning maybe some shadow ban where he never gets placed high up in the grid
As long as people keep playing it no one at PD is going to care. Eventually, some competitive racing sim will get it right and players will gravitate to that game. It will be something of a shame because PD has worked so hard on the other, arguably less important, aspects of the game.
Im new to racing games and all what could dirty racing be associated with like for example going off the track or bumping something or someone on accident
I've given up on playing online because when you're slow, the abusive drivers at the back are much worse.
I think one easy fix is put people who use the assists the dirty drivers use in their own lobbies
Utterly disgusting. I need a shower after watching that driver. We could post clips of this player with his nametag and raise even more awareness. This is unacceptable behavior. He/she knows their dirty because on the back of the car it reads Dirty Performance. Not even hiding it.
The other day I kept playing this daily because I kept winning. So why fix something thats not broken.
Anyways one race a guy SLAMMED into me while braking normally around a corner.
And I got a 5 SECOND PENALTY because of it!! FIVE SECONDS.
He of course got no penalty.
When I was in second I passed him right before the finish line so the same guy tried to run me off the road in a attempt to still win.
Luckily I didn't get a penalty.
But they HAVE to fix this penalty system. Its garbage.

Indeed it is just a game but on a competitive level you would expect others to drive according to the rules. For someone who plays GT7 from time to time using a pad and does not really care if they progress or not, improve their skills or not it is just a game but there are people who invested loads of money in the hardware and treat sim racing seriously, want to get better and want to have fair racing. For those people that clown is like a cancer killing this game and the whole sim racing experience. IRL he would be sentenced for things he does on the track. I’ve heard somewhere that GT7 is a real driving simulator. Is it? ;)
Griefing makes games worse. Sure, it's just a video game, but that doesn't really make it OK. Soccer is just a game, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to let cheating and exploits slide...
The main problem is that PD cares as much about cheating and exploiting and dirty driving as you do, and that's troublesome.. Unenforced rules are not rules at all. Games without rules are not really games.
Look at Tarkov.. Cheating absolutely destroyed that game... Does it make sense to just go "It's just a game!" when 10% of the playerbase is wall hacking? No... Because it made the game substantially worse.. It made the game unfair as hell, and the only cure was wall hacking...
Much like the only cure for dirty driving is to punt dirty drivers out of the track... This isn't really Wreckfest, but it is turning into that when rules are unenforced.

It's not just Kimi. I get constant dive bomb crashes, sideswipes, blatant pushing off tack etc. I've had enough of GT7. Such a shame. It could have been a fun game.
You have 3 choices as I see it. 1: Quit before the race starts. 2: everyone wreck him. 3: Do nothing because GT/PD is not going to help, They did not help with the Momos BS either.

Unfortunately unless your playing with players you can trust your doomed , perhaps the highest tier drivers race fair but unfortunately the lower the matchmaking the worse it gets imo , i play on controller and am fairly good but would say 2/3 seconds off the top level and that’s a lot in terms of matchmaking, seem to get put with so many dirty drivers it’s truly ended my interest in online racing myself, it’s unfortunate but not much you can do, real shame.
It’s NEVER gonna happen mate. Best way to fix it is to make it so your car goes “ghost” when ever contact is gonna be made. That way he can NEVER cause this

I think this is all being done on purpose. Look at his liveries. They sponsor him and the more carnage he causes the better. CZcamsrs like you Kireth post videos featuring him and there are more and more views and more and more money he makes. Money talks, bullshit walks. I think this is exactly what’s going on there. So I guess it would be better reporting it directly to PD without free advertisement for him and his sponsor :)
Wasnt Kimi considered some kind of reformed racer? Maybe hes just not taking this race seriously because its in a van, as opposed to a car he would actually want to drive. I dunno, it sucks... He can hop over to Forza Horizon 5 if he wants to do this kind of garbage. Its not really excused, even in FH5, but at least the community understands its an arcade racing game.

I did a quick search and found over 35+ videos of Kimi bad and few more from you Kireth alone in this. PD is IGNORING us in the war of dirty drivers. I am in the States and not knowing what Kimi uses as an account here in the NA region, but we have our share of dirty ones here too
For me I left Gran Turismo 7 for this barely reason.
There should be a server for serious drivers seperated from people who like me just want to have fun 🤭

Kimi has been exposed by several content creators and also brought to notice to polyphony, but they just dont care. Its been like this with him for a long long time. Poly just dont care about it.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but PD simply does not care about drivers like Kimi. They are more concerned with player count rather than player quality. The game has been out for well over a year and PD hasn't made even the most minimal effort to rid the game of this kind of garbage.
The ONLY thing that is going to get their attention is if people stop playing the game.

You can report his livery. In the post-race screen, click his Player Name and go to his Profile. In that menu, there's an option to Report a player.
I pretty much stopped playing cause of the dirty driving. I rather play gta 5 racing now. Till gt7 cleans it up. I think the van race was dumb for b tho.
Yer he ruined this race this week, stopped playing after he killed me three races in a row.
