That's a german place and the text with Betriebsstunden is German too.
I'm from germany, that's how I know it.
This place isn't abandoned at all, lol.
This guy is either trespassing, or he simply has a permit to film.
Because the power is running everywhere, you know it's in use, otherwise nobody would be wasting that much electricety.
That's why actual abandoned places are being visited with flashlights, not like this guy.
Nobody is destroying or stealung anything there, it's just, that the company is either selling machine parts, or using them in a different place.
It honestly just looks like he just shouldn't be there.
But I imagine, some germans are nice enough to allow you to record, if youo simply say, that you're interested in their facilities history.

Visiting churches, however grand, always leaves me cold and unmoved, but these cathedrals of engineering are truly awesome. The way you film these visits, whispering as you walk adds to the fantastic spooky ambiance as you creep through the shadows, and whenever you stop to take a close-up of some equipment I can tell you share my sense of awe at the genius of mankind in creating these leviathans. The humming transformers in your 2013 footage just add to the feeling that you’re walking inside a living, breathing, sleeping beast. Fantastic!

A few years ago i worked for a rope access company inside such power plants. we had to secure the guys cleaning the pipes inside the boiler room which was at appr. 160m height. we went into this dark steamy stinky hole which was blasted by high pressure water before to clean of all that carbon from the burning process to rise efficiency again ( well efficiency is a big word for such archaic technology such as burning coal to generate steam to generate eletricity ) , walking on those swinging pipes knowing that below us was a 160m deep dark hole. crazy feeling with all those people yelling at each other in languages i never heard before. of course we walked through nearly the whole complex such as the places you showed in this video. every time amazing how lost and tiny one feels inside such huge, dark, dirty and dangerous environments. attracting and disturbing at the same time. felt good to quit this dirty job eventhough we had good times there with all the guys working, sleeping, eating together for weeks. feel a bit sad for those who have to do that dirty shit for their whole life...

@Nitro Zeus I like exploring myself and I understand it, but hey - its just a flag ;) countries are rather big, and its a nice touch to be able to link types of objects/architecutral styles/etc with country, besides - at least I wont rather visit most of these remote locations, as long as something is not in my region ;)

The sheer scale of that generator room is amazing.
I guess they are going to sell the parts, given some of them were on pallets and seemed to have new primer on them.

I was curious and put all the hints together and I think that I have found this powerplant. If I'm right, then the plant is not completely shut down yet. It's just the older blocks; the newer ones are still in use. Pretty nice to see, though.

look at all the alarm lights flashing on that panel . the computer is looking for out put and nothing is running , if the operator ever saw that on his shift he would have had a heart attack. no green lights only yellow and red . some one was in there and was playing with the start button. lol lol.

I think Germany has taken the recycling of their old structures into serious consideration. Thousands of tons of cast iron and other precious materials are at their disposal. A mine of materials for free or at a price of weight, without saying thanks to neighboring nations. This is a serious circular economy.
