Problem is, Jamie falls into trap of TV chefs.
1) they use shortcuts to save time (think "15/20/30 minute meals"
2)they replace authentic ingredients with low quality replacements
3) they have to put their "take" on a meal .
Most TV Chefs are usually not even real chefs, except Gordon Ramsey who at least try his best to respect the culture by learning it

The Thai curry I ate in US... After that experience, I never go to any western copy of Asian restaurant, especially the southeast asian ones. Except chikin, anything they put in the curry were wrong. But the most offensive thing in that curry was cucumber! Can you imagine the taste of grated cucumber in a curry? Disgusting!

I'm all for chefs exploring new cuisines and cultures but the problem with Jamie is that I feel he looks at the recipe and just does his own thing whilst ignoring everything that goes into making said dishes. Whereas Gordon Ramsey shows respect to whichever culture he's exploring whilst mixing his own experiences and style intohis dish.

Jamie often says "you can make your own version". But almost all of his own versions is like I can eat beef jerky and pretend it's Sushi. There's not even a remote resemblance to it.

Kay is ignorant and I think her channel's objective is to be dark humour of spoiling dish, but Jamie being a chef does it deliberately, I think. And doesn't even correct his mistakes.

As a Thai. I would say It is Tom Kha Gai not Green curry. I think he get mixed up about the 2 dishes. From all the ingredients he put in It's definitely for Tom kha Gai or Thai coconut chicken soup.

As an Asian, I can say for certain that Jamie difinately didn't do his research, but even then, as a professional Chef he should've known better NOT to uplaod that video to YT. As a professional Chef he should know all this already, its his profession to know these things, to see Jamie insult famous dishes plus a crap ton of Asian people with his half assed attempts at Famous Asian dishes is truly a insult to Asian culture & tradition, its the worst insult anyone can ever do to Asians, by butchering our famous dishes & then calling them Asian. Just like Uncle Roger siad, "Just because you use Asian ingredients in your dishes, doesn't make it any more Asian", but its the way you cook it, if you do all the prep work, all the steps right, then you can call it an Asian dish, you f*** up all the steps & the prep work, then you can't call it Asian which is what Jamie is doing here in this video clip. Jamie deserves to be roasted for this insult to Thai culture. He should know better as a professional chef.
With Jamies half assed attempt at making fried rice, he made all of South East Asia cringe in disgust, he basically insulted the whole of South East Asia with his terrible cooking. I seen him go to South East Asia many times, yet he still manages to f*** it up. How???
