When a private recruiting team beats a real high school football team! Props to East!
Props to East for scheduling IMG. They've done a lot in the past few years to increase their program's stature, including beating De La Salle. Centennial coach Matt Logan said that losing to IMG only helps his team come playoff time, because the Southern Section teams, while talented, just don't have the same density of top athletes as IMG. No team in the nation does. So don't be surprised when East wins their division in Utah this year.
MARCVS LICINIVS CRASSVS it'll surely be down to East and my school Bingham. Bingham is a good but farther ahead nationally than East, so it'll be a tough game.

MARCVS LICINIVS CRASSVS UHSAA added the new 6A division this year. Last year, Bingham was 5A, East was 4A. With the new division, both Bingham and East are now in 6A. Both teams are defending state champions, so it'll be one heck of a game once the championship rolls around.
Anonymous Cellist OK got it. You guys got some ball out there. And the best thing is that East and Bingham can't escape each other. In Cali, we have a lot of divisions along with open qualifying, so sometimes the best teams don't always face each other.
MARCVS LICINIVS CRASSVS it's tough this year, but it's good for us. We've already beaten East this season in week 2 with a score of 48-17. Before we moved to the same division, Lone Peak was our only real competition, but even then we blew past them. Now that we have another nationally prominent team to worry about, we need to step up our game. We're undefeated thus far this season, but you never know what's next. Playoffs start in 6 days so we're expecting some good competition

Mike Wilson East is a pretty classless team too man. Guarantee IMG would've acted differently if East shook hands with them at the coin toss, and didn't jar the whole game either. That being said, it was a big game, high emotions, stuff like that is going to happen on both sides no matter what teams are playing.
IMG has had problems with sportsmanship penalties all season long. For as talented as they are, there is no reason for it.

Kioa104: Agree, but I disagree. As an IMG fan, I've seen my fair share of their games this season, and they can rack up 15-yd penalties quickly. One game a few weeks back totaled over 300 yds of penalties between both teams, and it wasn't one-sided. I mean, have you ever seen a team punt from its 45-yd line on 4th-and-goal? Seriously. I would like to see IMG have the sportsmanship to match their playing abilities. They could likely keep several more drives alive leading to more scores.

Darryl Padgett I’m a high school coach in Delaware so I see the Wing-T about 5x a year and even no one in our state runs it as good as East we’ve watched a lot of their tape when trying to see how defenses stop a certain play we might see in team As wingT but not team B and while watching the East tape on Hudl I’ll drop my jaw
East has won 11+ games 6 of the last 7 seasons and has played in the championship game 5 times in that time, winning twice 😮
They have a good team. But nationally they can't play with everyone.
The only way to stop a good Wing-T is to make them have to stop running it. When a Wing-T team can get up 14 points the game is pretty much over.

IMG has beaten DeSoto, TX, Triple A Academy, TX, and Prestonwood, TX. St. Thomas Aquinas has beaten Skyline, TX. Venice has beaten Stephenville, TX and Plano East, TX. Cocoa has beaten Abilene, TX. All of these games were when those Texas schools were in their prime state or a good state of play. The Florida teams weren’t all great at the time when they beat them. And keep in mind, a lot of those L’s that FL teams have handed TX teams over the years, have been FL teams from lower FL divisions, while those TX teams play in higher TX division. Do I need to list FL vs. CA games now?
