Quick question, will the stand increase the wear on the plate carrier’s shoulder strap since all the mass of the plate carrier rests on it?

How do you take the plate carrier off? Over the top as in where your helmet is?
So you have to take the helmet off, set it down, then pull off the plate carrier put it on before grabbing the helmet?

I just built a gear stand last weekend. Total cost was about $50.
I heard it's bad for your carrier to hang like that with the plates in have you noticed any wear due to the plates not being supported looking to get one of these
