Yeah it was quite the game. Big 10 has amazing games but I think you misinterpreted what people say. The sec has the better teams and players but that doesn’t mean the big 10 doesn’t have great time and absolute thrillers

1. If we beat Penn State, their ceiling for the season is 6-2. And that doesn’t bode well for strength of schedule when trying to get into the playoffs.
2. Penn State is now pissed off because they could’ve locked up that game. Now they play us with a chip on their shoulder.

Yeah he basically sealed the game in the opposite way but bad teams like Indiana find ways to give the game away and they tried by giving PS a short fields at the 50 with .21 left and 1 T.O. and by going for two pt conversion in the first ot they got lucky both times

Franklin recruits all this talent but sadly he's not a good enough coach to develop the players, demand accountability or make the right strategic adjustments, calls in a game.

That was the definition of not having enough evidence to overturn the play. Replay would have agreed with either scenario. It was that close.
It helped that penix laid out verticle without his knee or elbow touching first.

@@paulcogliano9376 if you had poor eyesight, it might look like that. I think the ball came in at a weird angle and the opposite end of the ball barely crossed the goal line before it hit the pylon or out of bounds. You can't tell for sure because of the camera angle.

Coach did not tell team not to score BEFORE they went out after stopping IU on fourth down at end of game. After PS coach said "He was not supposed to score, we worked on this in practice" - Come on man - These guys are not going to remember what went on in practice 2 days ago or even a day ago. PS coach needs to take the heat - HE not the RB lost the game for not reminding the guys. Bad coaching

I honestly don't know for certain if Penix was across on the 2-pointer or not - and if he had been ruled short the ruling would have also stood because there was no way to overturn it either way - but this was the right outcome of the game. Penn State deserved to lose because of their stupidity at managing the clock at the end of the game and Indiana deserved to win because they out-scrapped them despite being far less talented.
Exactly why penn state needs to get rid of Franklin. PSU will never win anything as long as he's there. He's consistently out coached and no team in the big 10 makes mental errors on such a routine basis.

@American Emperor hard to say, hence why the play stands. Yes the ball appears to hit the ground right before the pylon, but it's not the nose of the ball that hits the pylon, it's the middle. The nose is the farthest most extended part of the ball and it's coming across at an angle. The nose may have crossed the plane inside the pylon before the ball hit the ground/pylon. The angle just isn't good enough and even slow motion the call is really close. Call on field would probably have stood either way it was called.
