  • The wives, Ryan Michelle Bathe, Khadeen Ellis, and Codie Elaine Oliver discuss the ways in which their husbands have helped them grow as people. What's one thing a relationship taught you about yourself?
    All relationships, good or bad, can help us grow and teach us an endless amount of lessons.
    What makes you tick? How do you handle disagreements? Do you run from issues or confront them?
    Using a relationship as a mirror can be life changing and show you truths about yourself that you may have been too afraid to face. Allowing yourself to reflect yields a beautiful opportunity for growth and healing. Two things we should constantly strive for whether it's individually or with a partner. Pouring into ourselves makes us a better friend, partner, parent, etc. And it's the first step in creating a space for self love to flourish beautifully.
    During this Black Love Live episode, Devale & Khadeen Ellis also examine the role tact plays in marriage communication. Being open and honest is one thing - but being able to communicate that effectively is another.

    What's there not to love about the Ellises??? They both are so truthful with their marital experiences that it makes their section pretty informative. I so like the Browns' and the host couple's section too...This is a very educative programme..

    Love is eternal so to have black married couples grow & evolve in synchronization is illuminating. The show provides great insight and tools to enhance each other communication for effectively. For me, my husband and I are very honest, raw, and real too. Simply put, we enjoy each other's company bc we are truly best friends at the end of the day. He teaches me how to be orderly and less critical. Our personalites mesh well in public crowds and settings.

      @11STARFIREAppreciate the love 💟 For husband, he has learned an elevation in faith, culinary cuisine techniques, patience with our children, especially our 3 y/o toddler son. He simply enjoys being a full-time dad.

    Men and women need to take ownership of their own growth and development. Stop saying some man helped you grow. Motivation and support is good but if you don't put in the work, or only move when that person is pushing you, you're missing out on discovering yourself!!

    • @veronicawalker3473
      @veronicawalker3473 Před 4 lety +54

      As a happily married woman, yes, your spouse does influence your growth. If your marriage is God ordained, you're destined to help each other grow, while you're forced to discover new things about yourself everyday. That's the beauty of having a life partner. Trues self discovery cannot occur in isolation. They're acknowledging their spouse's (not "some man's") role in their growth ...

    • @sheronthomas7107
      @sheronthomas7107 Před 3 lety +5

      When your relationship is God ordained part of your growth and development is within the chambers of your spouse. Iron Sharpens Iron. You help each other to grow and grow up-ward. I truly believe in marriage and the authenticity of it. It’s Beauty, it’s Power, it’s unity, it’s strength and it’s oneness. And it is one of Gods most Beautiful Collaborations. It’s two imperfect people committing to & loving one another in-spite of those imperfections . Let’s Be Real about it most of the time we hook up with wrong people and it causes us to give up and close our Spirit and withdraw from the journey of finding true love. But you can’t give up. Don’t allow negative people with negative experiences make you quit on True Love. You get what you expect. If you expect no good people, you are attracting just that, if you’re expectation is to one day find true love then one day when you least expect it. Love will find you, but make sure that Love for you finds you first, so you won’t attract unsavory character. I married my childhood sweetheart after being separated for over 20 years but he was in my heart and dreams. And I dreamed we were married it was so real, on a Christmas morning, on the next year on a Christmas Morning he showed up at my 🚪 door. We were married a few months later. Still married in 2020.Hallelujah.

    I would to ask a question, ppl talk about black love I want to know is respect in the equation, because nudity is not a good look for married and exclusive couples , now your woman everything to public makes her anybody woman because back in the days men do what they do with magazines they have do just go to phone live and living color groping behind that respect also I know it mean the new culture anything goes it sure as hell don’t mean love , this is what it speak one for all all for one peace to culture
