is it just this issue across India for India to be a world leader for road fatalities? well, let's see now - (1) in many cases, what about 3 to 4 people riding on a motorbike or scooter when there should be just 2? + (2) many cases, people don't wear helmets while driving scooters and bikes + (3) when there are lane separators, many Indians love adding more of their own lanes to the number of lane separators + (4) many bus drivers, many heavy vehicle drivers as well some of the normal vehicle drivers drive crazily including without wearing seatbelts too and fast including many youngsters + (5) buses stopping in the middle of the road instead of closer to bus stops causing chaos and sometimes accidents too + (6) people including Police and other authorities driving on wrong side of road/lane in many cases.
all these and many more are the reasons why India is a world leader for road fatalities where it starts with top people of India themselves not being bothered about the issue and if they can't be bothered, don't expect the rest of the Indian society to perform miracles as Anywhere in the World, the Responsibility including Setting Examples should start Fully from the Top (yes, other nations worldwide too have road accidents though India is a World Leader for Road Fatalities - LOTS TO DO TO PREVENT IT)
