まだ子どもの頃、レコードで12インチのエクステンデッド・ヴァージョンを聴いたのがこのバンドとの出会いだったのが懐かしい。
短い活動期間だったらしいが（再結成してるらしいが）、個人的には初期の頃はちょっと物足りない感じであり、やはりこの頃から以降が好きかな。アルバム「ハート・ライク・スカイ」も名盤だと思う。ヒットはしなかったが…。

I remember when this song first came out, I've loved this song ever since and I love the music video just as much too. It's a pity the song only reached #15 on the UK singles charts, considering this song was Spandau Ballet's first single release on the CBS label after all the nonsense that happened between Spandau Ballet and the Chrysalis label. Still, what a great song from a great '80s band.

I remember this video in Polish TV, 1986.
For sure in Poland this wasn't on TV in 1986, because only country from eastern europe in that tima which was part of the western world was Yugoslavia and countries like cechslovskia, hungary, poland , romania, bulgaria, albania was under the USSR and was far far away behind the rest of the world.
@@simeonsimeon3025 Poland was different at this time and polish TV really had several programmes with a great music. Also polish radio trasmitted full LP. Living in Czechoslovakia close to polish boarder I could listen and watch to "western" music.
@Simeon Simeon Where did you get this information from? You are totally wrong, mate. Polish TV did air this music video in 1986. I can even list you the names of those TV programs: "Wideoteka" ("Videotheque") and "Przeboje dwójki" ("The Hits of the (Channel) Two").
The music from behind the iron curtain was present on the Polish radio and on Polish TV. That's why so many people from the border areas of Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Soviet Union listened to Polish radio and watched Polish TV (as Roman Danel wrote). A number of popular British artits even toured in Poland at that time. For example Elton John, Ultravox, Iron Maiden, Marillion, Kajagoogoo. Generally the majority of bands and singers popular in the West in the 80s were also popular in Poland. So called Polish People's Republic was not a paradise in any way, but access to the American and British music was much better than in other Communist countries.
Generally Poland has always been a part of Western European Civilisation, even under Soviet occupation (1944-1989).
