Check out "In My Bed" to see her early work, and "Teach Me Tonight" when she was maybe 19. You'll be stunned.

After hearing the odd clip in odd places and deciding that she wasn't my cup of tea I decided to spend several hours on youtube to discover why she was touted as a real talent by so many greats. It was time well spent. I've never been big on jazz for the most part but ignoring genres and addressing the individual I am happy to say that I now know why Amy Winehouse was one of the best. I thought this song was one of her most interesting and approachable numbers and a great sample of her music.

She's said in interviews that she hated using fake instruments, and alot of these are fake, that's likely part of it. Her friend, Tyler James (also a singer) has this same song on his (i think) debut album, it could also be possible that she didn't want to take his thunder or overshadow him with his own song? I mean, I think it's his. I feel like Amy wrote it though.
