You can tell nintendos given up on the wii u when they port all of its exclusives to the 3ds
I was a bit surprised we didn't see Splatoon.
This video pretty much explains why i will never buy a Nintendo home console again. Full disrespect with consumers who bought the Wii U, 0 support.
I think they realize that the Wii U is dead and want to give 3DS owners these games so they don't have to buy a dead console.

I know your pain. Nintendo has been consistently disappointing me for these past years. I am not looking forward to the NX based on these frustrating results so far.
Mario Maker 3D is a watered down port that's only good for local multiplayer so nothing of value was lost.
If I had a dollar for every time "at a discounted price" was said, I could actually buy something at a discounted price.

Late November: Pokemon Sun & Moon will have been out for a while and that is thier biggest game this year and what they're riding on for sales of both the Nintendo 3DS family and overall revenue. But now that the game is out time to move on. And announcement of the unveiling of Codename NX.

on a side note haven't played a recent pkmm yet is it good? Also I have ssb and its very good so is mario kart online and super street fighter.
but Nintendo needs to add worldwide support on all local play games. I'm from a smaller town in the country nobody around me really plays 3ds so i have to stick to internet WiFi only and yea I have pretty good WiFi no lag.

This was a bit disappointing. Alot of the new games seemed meh and some are just rehashes of Wii U games. The new Pikmin looks interesting but I need to see more to care. And don't count how many times when they mentioned the word RPG I was holding my breath for it to be Golden Sun 4. The skits were great tho

You can still make levels, share them to an extent, and play 100 Mario challenge. Chances are the levels you upload won't be played by more than 30 people and 25 of those will quit after dying once.

That's the _entire point_ of the level-creation tool, hence why I consider the ability to upload it online more important than the level tool itself.
No use giving me a powerful tool to create something meant to be shared if you won't let me share it.

For anyone who thinking Mario Maker 3DS made the Wii U version pointless, Think it again. Because.....
- You can only share your course made in 3DS version via Local Wireless or StreetPass. Also you can only play online courses from 100 Mario Challenges or Recommend Course section.
- No Mystery Mushroom item in this version. In other word, No amiibo support. (that made some courses made on Wii U version unplayable in 3DS version, Not 100% sure on this though. I'm judging from the fact that not every Wii U course is playable in the 3DS.)
Just saying. And I think that's smart idea so the owner of Wii U version didn't feel so bad. At least they brought a superior version of the game.
Yoshi's Woolly World on the other hand, I don't sure on that one though.

Pretty solid direct, super happy to see Mario Maker on 3DS, even with its "stripped" presentation. The Poochy + Yoshi's Wooly World announcement was my favorite by far: those shorts look so unbelievably adorable and the port seems that it will be a wonderful addition to the handheld's library. Funny how my two most anticipated games from this direct are already Wii U titles- one I already own- though I can't help it because they're both so appealing as portable titles. I personally have no connection to Pikmin, so I couldn't have been disappointed from that reveal.
I'd trade all of these for real Strikers, Metroid, and Mario Party games.

Typical Gamer How are exclusive features even a little bit of a good thing? My guess is that platform sharing is a good idea. It can tend to the needs of just 3DS owners and just Wii U owners, as in, people who own one of either console.

3DS always wins, not even the xbox, ps4, psvita and wii u can beat it. it's just to cute and awesome
Agreed.
It singlehandedly gives Nintendo an edge over their competition. If anyone says Nintendo is dying, they're clearly trying to ignore the success of the 3DS family of portable consoles.(Standard, New, and 2DS)
It's just plain fun.
I prefer the Vita because it can play higher powered games and doesn't push amiibo down my throat.
And PS4 vs. Wii U at this point is like Hercules vs. A random goat on a farm.
I was with Nintendo for every generation, but they're gonna have to do pretty well with NX to get me back.

It's a spinoff, most likely. Whatever it is, I'm pretty hyped. Anything Pikmin related is absolutely awesome.

The 3DS versions are generally watered down versions (Smash 3DS, looks like pikmin and more noticeably SMM) to advertise the Wii U version.

I'm so pumped for this Pikmin game for 3ds! And Mario Maker and Yoshi are going to add up to my library as well. I love those games on my Wii U. What a GREAT direct that was!:D
