I love how Warhammer is just real enough to be 'realistic', yet next thing you know you see a giant skeleton made out of granite melting a line of dark elves with laser eyes.
That's beceause warhammer always follows the laws that they created for their universe. Unlke a lot of movies. And they manage to build it up in such a way that it all seems doable in that universe without it being bs.
there is literally nothing realistic about warhammer bro. im not saying its bad, i like it because its exaggerated and over the top.

It's all about the presentation. It presents you with this fun over the top violence with the dead seriousness that the characters in this situation would actually be feeling. Warhammer doesn't often fall into the trap of Marvel-izing things and making every single character turn to the camera and wink every five microseconds about the obvious absurdity of all this wacky fantasy destruction.
@@apolloknight9521 Fantasy orcs don't have the same reality bending properties as 40k orcs. While that is reasonable to assume, there are enough differences between Fantasy orcs and 40k orks that they are more or less different things. Also, I hate to be a jerk by correcting your spelling, but Fantasy orcs are usually with a C and not a K.
The funniest thing is, the undead are the good guys here.
There are no good guys in Warhammer.
But compared to DE, yeah, they are.
It would be nice if there were more instances of good/neutral undead in fiction. One example I read a while back was from Forgotten Realms: raiders were sacking a village only to be attacked from the rear by a horde of armed skeletons that had arisen in the village's time of need, carrying their descendants back to their barrows where it would be easier to protect them.

Settra is Strength 6.
In the tabletop game, Strength 3 was the standard human level.
Strength 4 was for Chaos Warriors saurus warriors, and ogres. Most human heroes and lords are at this level.
Strength 5 was for trolls, Vampires, Chaos Lords, Ogre Tyrants, and Demigryphs. Archaon and the Vampire characters hang out here.
Strength 6 was for Ghorgons, Steam Tanks, giants, most dragons, and Bloodthirsters.
Settra can match a Bloodthirster for physical strength.
Think about that next time you feel like tomb robbing.
And he could slow a Steam Tank with his bare hands.

In the End Times, after the conquest of Khemri by Nagash, all four Chaos Gods, together as an undivided pantheon, stitched Settra's body back together and offered him limitless power if he were to become a Chaos champion and fight Nagash on their behalf. He basically could have been Archaon's replacement or possibly even ascended to Daemon Princehood, except Settra, being the badass that he was, told them that Settra does not serve and fights hordes of demons by himself until the end of the world.
Of course, that's all been retconned away with the coming of Age of Sigmar

Not mechanical. The constructs are stone, bone, metal and other assorted materials with souls bound to them, animating them.

What I absolutely love about this trailer, is that the narrator makes sure to explicitly say " Our true KING will show them" and not kings or queen signifying that the only true Tomb King is SETTRA THE IMPERISHABLE!
I mean in the lore, Settra is the absolute top of the top, in the last battle of his campaign he is the leader who fights against Arkhan, while Khatep and Khalida are waiting for him to get the job done

While true, I’m pretty sure staring at an actual mummy ponderously in a museum, for a couple hours, and then nodding sagely and saying “yep. That’s one old, dry dead guy,” would still be a superior experience to the new Mummy movie.
At least it made the one about the chinese mummy actually look somewhat good.

@@masonarmand8988 Not exactly. The priests of Nehekhara had been able to wield divine magic derived from their pantheon since the beginning of their civilization. When he finally united the disparate city-states, Settra created the Mortuary Cult, which afterwards further refined various mending and life-extending spells (but still based on the original Nehekharan divine magic, which despite the Cult's very impressive achievements, prevented them from completing Settra's vision of perfect immortality in eternal living golden forms).
It was Nagash (who lived as a human about five centuries after Settra) who learned dark magic from captured dark elves and combined it with elements of the Mortuary Cult's magic to create Necromancy. While it took a long, long time for him to refine it into the modern form we see in TWW's era, even his rudimentary proto-Necromancy gave him a decisive edge over the priests of other city-states (including of a true elixir of immortality) and allowed him to handily contest the first coalition formed against him. He was still defeated though and driven out into the wastes north of Nehekhara (where he died, revived due to sheer force of will as an undead, ate a lot of warpstone, etc.).
What I like about them the most is that even in death every soldier is still a person fighting for his homeland. Whereas the Vampire Counts just control their pawns.

If Settra can't solo half the game they didn't do him Justice. He was literally the strongest "man" in the world. Strength 6. Tied with Ogre Tyrants and Chosen Chaos Lords.
There weren't any Chaos Lords at S6, so Settra is canonically the strongest man in the world. He's in the same league as BLOODTHIRSTERS.

Tomb Kings were the first miniatures I collected when I was a kid, really upset that they stopped making them. I've been hoping that the Tomb Kings would appear in this series and I can't wait for this to come out. Thank you Creative Assembly

To my knowledge: On TT, Necrospinx was basically the best monster-killer the TK have, but it would lose to Carnosaurs more often than not if it didn't roll Heroic Killing Blow. That's just one specific matchup, and TW will probably balance differently, but I think Dinosaurs win in most cases.
This is arguably the best trailer I have seen in the last several years for all games. It's just really well done. Tells a story, I got chills at the end.

This entire trailer is so far an example of "GET OFF MY LAWN!". Finally we get to put those elder races and vermin in their place...and kick out those Bretonnian Crusaders from Araby that rightfully belongs to Settra.
I heard the TK will get four LLs instead of two and a mini campaign. Settra and Khalida are a must, but who will be the other two? Some say that Arkhan will be one of them, but we shall see when it's out.

Best DLC so far Tomb Kings look 99% complete on arrival only unit not seen so far is the Bone giant, tomb herald hero and the high priest lord but we're getting the Hierotitan and Khatep who never had official models, if this is the level of content we're getting going forward I have no problem paying the price for our new undead overlords

For me Warhammer died when they threw out the idea of having an established world and turned it into power armored paladins fighting over nondescript Asgard-like realms. Removing Tomb Kings was a horrible move but after seeing how much they 40K-ized the new lore there wasn't much hope for me to lose by the time I heard TK was gone.
Spikem59 I don't mind the new setting that much, I really didn't like the AoA game at first but after trying it out I really enjoyed it.
I'm a huge converter so have a lot of single models, AoS meant I could just take like 5 big heroes as my army. It allowed me to play hero hammer.
