The member who was in military band was Dowoon. Sungjin actually disconnected from anything related to music during his service, preferring to focus on self-healing.
I agree that Sungjin got even better (he aggressively bias-wrecked me away from Yonk), and I think it's because of his newfound confidence and how much more chill and comfortable he is with himself. To answer your question about whether he was active in music during the military, he wasn't. At all. In fact, he actively hid that he was a celebrity while he was enlisted because, as he said, he treated his military hiatus as a complete break from being an idol, to learn to heal and appreciate himself more. We love that for him because I couldn't even begin to imagine reaching a point where you couldn't sing when you've been singing your whole life đĽš
I also agree that "I'll try" would fit right in their Killing Voice setlist, but maybe the boys didn't want to have to modify the 5-part harmony that made that song absolutely perfect đĽ˛

A lot of us want a 2nd Part to their Killing voice. Thereâs so many songs that are amazing and people should listen to live. I hope they also tour the US soon. Iâm so ready!!!
The shorter duration is possibly because they had to choose only from songs that they already had new arrangements for (as a 4-piece band), particularly the ones they performed at the The Present concert last December. So it wasn't as simple as just going through all of their title songs and popular b-sides like other groups. They're probably still working on new arrangements for other songs that they plan to include in the upcoming concerts.

"they're the bridge for me" - YES!! bawling. same. BTW on Killing Voice is where i noticed how much doing the YoungOne covers developed Youngk's voice - low end, high, using all the parts of the throat, palate. And yes, we all missed Sungjin's voice. Sigh. GREAT reaction đ

Wonpil joined the navy (which is why I think his service was a little longer), and Young K served with KATUSA (the Korean Augmentation to the US Army).

It was there in the 2019 set list when I watched them in London so fingers crossed itâs still there!
It's understandable the frustration on the small snippet of each songs but i think it maybe the limit time given to them plusss considering their wayy too many legendary never-bad songs/discoveries so it's fair they unable to play even the whole one verse of many songs they played here.
And I think maybe Sungjin receive more vocal classes while waiting for the others coming back from military because his breath control much better and he getting comfortable and used with the raspy voice that he purposely do since debut till now.

This has become my favorite killing voice!! they are amazing and i just wanted to hear more and more and more, they have so many good songs! Love them so much! Another one of my favorite killing voices are WINNER, i really think you will love many of their songs, their killing voice will leave you with a big smile, so good vibes just like Day6 killing voice!

One thing about Mydays is we never know the title even if we know the song idk how this is purely a Myday thing ive never experienced or seen this with other fandoms đ Day6 even is like this they often forget the title of their songs, I think we're cursed lmao

I truly hope they tour again in the near future and some back to Canada! I have seen them twice and each time was fantastic. They didn't come during their last tour though :( I hope that changes!

There are so many songs I wish they did but omg how could I forget I'll Try and yes it was about Wonpil's grandma! I love how happy they absolutely look and im so glad they're back, they're one of my ults so I want to see them so bad as well. I hate they did some songs so short but that seems to be the fact with alot of these Killing Voices đ and I agree about Sungjin!

I know a lot of ppl hate to mention him but idc, I wish Jae got the opportunity to be on Killing Voice.
I never really had a favourite vocal as they were so good together but once he left, something felt missing.
The boys did a great job either way.
I agree, and while I have moved on from the ot5 agenda long ago. But there do be some times where I miss hearing all 4 of the frontman's voices. They were known after all as a band with 4 main vocals so it is kind of hard to not think of that especially when most of the songs they're singing had Jae in it. And while I do have my favorite vocal in day6 (Young K) but I would say the exact same thing if it's the other member that is missing. The 4 vocals they had the past years were just so beautiful when they sang together. BUT day6 still did a very great job in covering Jae's parts in both vocal and instrumental parts.
Ukw i kinda dont like how when a member leaves some companies dont even acknowledge that they were in the group at all. like jae has had a huge role in their discography (like everyone else) and had been a part of the band for 6 years. You can acknowledge that the member was in the band and also support both of the artists individually. Anyways they killed the killing voice!
@@navrajsohal3048 it'd be hard to do that considering how Jae literally exposed jype for their mistreatment and his past issues. But I agree with what you're saying. To be fair tho, he isn't as "erased" compared to most idols who left their groups and that's because he had a huge contribution on the team (just like the other members) They just can't mention and talk about him openly but they still include him on credits when the songs he's in are being used on other shows, and sometimes they even put the album photo with Jae in there.
@@Portiayuu yeah thatâs all understandable. I hope later in the year the boys will mention about each other. I just want affirmation that theyâre in good terms with each other. Either they interact in social media or someone does a cover of each others music etc.
@@kaecee1991 oh! they did have a couple of âsubtleâ interactions. Dowoon did it the most, he was seen liking some of Jaeâs ig posts, his latest one was just in Aug 2023 when he liked Jaeâs tour announcement, he also still uses the ot5 pfp on his twt acc. Wonpil also included Jaeâs name in his pilmography albumâs âthanks toâ even after Jae left. After Sungjin made his ig acc, Jae commented on his post with âcheck your dmsâ so I guess they might be talking there. The one who had almost no interaction is Young K (heâs so chronically offline plsđ) but there was this recent year-end performance in December where day6 performed last and so all of the idols, including day6 were on the stage together while day6âs performance was playing, there was a part in the performance where Mydays were doing the fanchant for days gone by but unlike the usual chant where Jaeâs name comes up after Sungjinâs but here they had a slight pause after Sungjinâs name then continued after with Young Kâs name. There was a fancam of day6 in which they were seen ijboling so hard when that part came especially Young K you could tell there was no bad blood. Also a bit unrelated but Terry whoâs a well known supportive bestie of Young K since pre debut has been constantly liking Jaeâs ig posts, I donât think heâd do that if the boys and Jae are in bad terms so I guess itâs safe to assume that theyâre still in good terms.
