Years ago, I, too, customized a 12' Sevylor HF-360 by adding a single-piece 3/4" plywood hard deck covered in marine-grade carpet. My deck insert includes two adjustable-height, swivel, pedestal bassboat-style seats and a battery box between them whose lid serves as a shelf for tackle boxes. A fishing outing went like this: (a) load all the stuff into my car, (b) unload all the stuff at the water's edge, (c) inflate the raft enough to wrestle the deck into place, (d) fully inflate the raft and move it into shallow water, (e) add the 2 seats, the battery box, 2 oars, the anchor, and install the motor mount, (f) place the battery into the battery box, (g) mount the trolling motor to the motor mount and wire it to the battery, and finally (h) load rods & reels, PFDs and tackle boxes. At the end of the outing, I had to reverse the whole damn process. After 5 years, I was really tired of all the work it took to go fishing and bought a real bassboat. In the approx 6 months since you published this video, have you, too, grown tired of loading, hauling, unloading, assembling, dis-assembling, loading, hauling, unloading and storing all the various parts and pieces of your creation?

I bought 2 pieces of 3/4 plywood, precut 2ftx4ft, I have about 1 1/2" space on each side in the middle of the boat, inflated, which is just fine. Having just a station wagon, buying a full sheet is not an option for me. I trimmed about 2 inches off the length on each on and they both fit perfectly in the back of my car. I still have a very study base to stand on, which is kind of the whole point.

For my Intex Seahawk 2, I cut out an old plastic truck bed liner. On the edges, I glued and tie wrapped pipe insuators. The two letnths of plastic overlap each other in the middle.

Last summer I seen a guy use a plastic sled for the floor, fit right in and no trimming. I did not have one so I used a foam sliding board that has plastic on one side. I had to trim a bit but otherwise it fit right in. It was less work to put in than the pieces of truck liner I had used before.
