Why not combining bottom drain and pump it to the wetland filter? So maybe it's not necessary pumping the dirt with streampumps in direction to the skimmer bay.

Great pond but totally disagree with the bottom drain discussion. I Have no rocks or boulders in my pond. His must have been installed poorly. 4 inch bottoms drain to a Cetus sieve that collects all debris down to a human hair. Have not touched the inside of my pond in three years.
Thats top dollar. But look @ the finished product. Most important look who built that beautiful pond. You can never put a price on the memories this pond will bring to that family. Money well spent.
