    I have granddaughters and they picked the Ravensburger 1000 piece Disney Wonderful World from our trip to the local puzzle store. It is a round puzzle and it was fun to build

      Glad it helped! I still haven’t done 1000 piece round puzzle, only 500pcs. I should definitely get one 1000pc!

    The round puzzles fascinate me. 😊 I'm pretty much a beginner puzzler so I'm a little intimidated. I've got 2 of my own and I'm trying to work up the nerve to do one.
    ❤ You did so great at the World's!
    I hadn't thought of wooden puzzles being done at the World's. 😮 That would be so challenging.
    P.s. i love your dog! ❤ hes so cute!

      You can do it!!! What round puzzles do you own if you don't mind me asking? :) I have also noticed that they sell these "meditation" puzzles in stores and they are always round shaped.
      And thank you so much. I heard right after filming this video that the dates for the WJPC 2024 have been published!

    I know this is three weeks old but I thought I would pick up on your remark about the front of the box showing a partial cut of the jigsaw. It won't help you at all. I have been counting the Wildlife puzzle I received recently and I checked some of the outside pieces against the box. I think one matched but the others were differently cut and the image on the piece aligned differently to that on the box. So now you know. 🙂

    • @puzzlewithemilia
      @puzzlewithemilia  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I’m very surprised by this! I actually backtracked once from my ”statement” while filming to actually check and compare. I compared plenty of pieces and they all match so I did film it in the end for the final edit.
      But as said, I didn’t check all, just plenty. So I might be absolutely wrong. I wonder if the cut is different for each puzzle and then magically this one matched the cover if the cover has only one cut for all puzzle boxes 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now I have to triplecheck when I get back home. Super important comment, thank you so much!! 🙏🏾

    I have 2 round puzzles that I like. Elena Essex Bird Paradise and e-book Crazy Bug Bouquet.
    What round did you provide commentary at World's in Valladolid? I have watched most of the livestreams and missed it.
    Also liked your video on speed puzzling tips. You had some new ideas that made a lot of sense.

    • @puzzlewithemilia
      @puzzlewithemilia  Před 9 měsíci +2

      I will try out them both. Thank you for sharing. I’m so happy you watched some of the livestreams! I did a commentary on group C of pairs (qualifying rounds). 😊
      I think there are lots of more tips coming. Nothing ”new” as I always say, more like things that make sense but haven’t been thought about before. ☺️

    Well as another puzzler called Emilia, i had to click this. XD
    My puzzle world opened up with another youtuber called Karen, and the round once are some of my new favorites! the puzzle cut just becomes so different in those. I should so buy this one because it is beautiful. I also now need to see if the one i have from Ravensburger also has the puzzle cut on the box, because if it has ive missed it the 20 times ive puzzled it...
    I can really recommend the one i have, its another circle of colors called "flowers" and picture is by Sherry Lee

    • @puzzlewithemilia
      @puzzlewithemilia  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Hello there! I wish to try out this one too. Circle of colors are the best. And yeah, it’s very easy to miss. I guess it’s because we as puzzlers have a specific way of what to look for in a reference image that we miss everything else 😃

    • @extralost
      @extralost Před 9 měsíci

      They really are fun to puzzle ^¬^ Yeah that has to be the reason. Mostly i just looked where the flowers where placed, so must have missed it that way. XD

  • @puzzlepiece9509

    That's the great thing about circular puzzles, 🟢you can keep turning them to access the area you wish to work on. No need to stand up unless you wish to. I noticed that one contestant had a near miss with her circular puzzle. Turned it and the edge was hanging off the table! Luckily it didn't fall apart. I never stopped to check and see if the 'pattern' on the box lid was the same as the jigsaw. Not too sure if wooden puzzles would be a feature at worlds. 🪵 They do need careful handling if you don't want to end up with any broken bits. They are also expensive to buy. 💰 You haven't actually stated what the dates are for 2024 but one assumes it is September.

    • @puzzlewithemilia
      @puzzlewithemilia  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Yes. They published the dates right after I filmed this video. It will be 17.-22. of September next year!
      And I saw that too multiple times during the semi-finals. Almost had a heart attack everytime it went over the table. So some patience and focus needed with that and not to get too excited.
      And as said, the cut is not too obvious. I actually filmed that part for this video twice because I had to start double checking if it’s the same or not after all.
      We will see what surprises they have for us next year. Are you planning to join in 2024? ☺️

      @@puzzlewithemilia I am more than happy to watch the championship but not to the extent of taking part. Speed puzzling is not something that holds any enormous attraction for me. My pace is more like that of a snail rather than a cheetah! I do take part in the Battle of the CZcams puzzle marathon as that is just for fun. 😄

    • @extralost
      @extralost Před 9 měsíci +1

      Ive been thinking of getting a wooden one, but the price scares me. How much careful handling do they need? i thought they would be more solid then the usual cardboard?

    • @puzzlepiece9509
      @puzzlepiece9509 Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@extralost Most wooden puzzles are pretty robust. I buy Wentworth ones and the pieces are 4 mm thick. If you are careful putting them together they shouldn't get damaged. It's slow and steady and the correct piece will drop in. Wooden ones can be expensive, it probably depends on what brand you buy and the piece count. To some degree you get what you pay for. Try a low count jigsaw and see how you get on. I've no idea where you live so I don't know what you can get.

    • @extralost
      @extralost Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@puzzlepiece9509 Thank you! ill try a smaller one to start with then. Glad to hear you get what you pay for, always looking for new types of puzzles.
