They probably didn’t want to pressure him off the bat he’s still in starting stages and just only turned pro and many great players wore that number 7 shirt, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and ofcs Eric Contana so that number holds a lot of pressure so thats why once in a few seasons maybe they might give him it once he’s ready

He's reluctant to take players on, he's not confident with his first touch and close control. However, he is a creative player, and has moments of brilliance in all aspects of his game. He needs to be challenged more by the likes of Antony to get to the next level, we can't depend on him at this moment in time.
