Hoover has won numerous state championships and despite the score, this game was way more competitive than it seems. Hoover just shot themselves in the foot too many times with turnovers and bad play calls. Plus it was delayed a day. St John was still excellent though

Seth Wright most private schools are insanely smaller than public schools and would be dominated by them. Just because thereâs a few a good ones doesnât mean there isnât good public schools.
Brad Calwell Yea, but private schools are allowed to recruit so almost all the premier middle school talent is going to private schools. You can look at the player rankings for the county or almost any state and find that most of the top ranked players attend private schools.

I live in Alabama, very small state in population. D.C. area is very talent rich. Alabama recruits that area hard. Hoover is good, they just don't have the population size to compete with bigger schools

Dave Dunlow probably because they usually play their big games at the minor league stadium just down the road which is real grass. Due to the amount of rain, probably didnât want to tear up the baseball field since the high school field has turf instead of grass.
