    The Vudu 1-10x is a great optic for all around use. Especially for hog hunting with a thermal clip on. Instead of me using the 1x for close encounters and drills, I leave it on 3x or above. I have an Eotech EFLX Mini mounted on a Reptillia ROF 90 adapter mounted to the front Geissele Super Precision scope clamp so I can still see to apply dope if needed. This setup is a match made in heaven on my Black Rain Ordnance 6.5 Grendel 18".

    You're trying to sell it. It has many faults, and a couple that make it a pretty bad choice. I was done at the "it's close to a red dot" crap. It's got a small eye relief area that does not lend well to acting like a red dot one single bit.

    If you want a 1x10 get the Primary Arms. 550 with mount. And it's really good.

    I would like to see what you think about the SwapFox Arrowhead 1-10 lpvo. I have one and really like it. I prefer a SFP and a BDC reticle for .556. I don't like a FFP on anything less than a 5x.

    If you do not have time to crank to ten power, you should have been dead 30 seconds ago or you have time to crank it to ten. The double shuffle shouldn’t matter. Great video!

    The 34mm tube doesn't effect light transmission at all. It only gives more elevation and windage adjustment.

    • @jimyeats
      @jimyeats Před rokem

      I think the general point they are making is that usually when your tube size is larger, there is a corresponding increase of the objective size, which there generally is.
      Edit: within the LPVO space.

      It does, or we would all have 20mm scopes. It's more to shorten the scope in this design but look at some 40mm ior stuff

    • @benb50001
      @benb50001 Před rokem

      Under what circumstances would anyone ever max out their windage adjustment with a 30mm tube? Even the sort of person who dials for wind holds could probably shoot perpendicular to a hurricane and still not max out the dial. Bigger tube is for more elevation only.

    Poors below so mad lolol. I have some P.A. glass and while nice, trying to compare this to other cheap sub-$1k stuff is just hilarious. Looking forward to seeing how the Eotech compares to the Nightforce NX8 1-8 or NX8 2.5-20 which has a terrible eyebox, despite being great glass. Not Leupold good, but still good overall.

    For hunting, this is not really great. For a marksman rifle, not that great. Better options for accuracy at distance. For short range, RD or fixed power. If I am only looking to get more accuracy out to 500 yards…3x18. Kinda light and can flex into short distance if needed. LPVO is a compromise all across the board.
    Not sold on LPVOs.

      I wouldn't get this one personally, but there's definitely a place for general purpose optic.

      @@DTreatz absolutely..they do have a place..BUT..they are only ok for everything they do..there are better options that specialize in each purpose..as long as you understand and accept this they are absolutely useful..problem is I think some people buy them thinking they are a true do all scope and don’t realize the limitations they are buying into..yes it can provide you a means to shoot to distance but it’s NOT a precision scope..yes it can provide the means to shoot close up at 1x but it is also NOT a red dot or holographic sight..you might say lpvo’s are a jack of all trades but master of none

    I've got one on my Aero 308. I can clearly see and engage targets out to a max range of about 1k. Granted, it's not going to be AS good as a 2.5-10x at 1x yards, and that's mainly due to the parallax adjustment on the higher magnification scopes. But, glass is great, brightness is good. I think the donut circle is too damn big at 1x, but that's a minor complaint

      I’ve got one. Glass is great. Eye box is tight at 8-10x especially 10x. It’s not at all daylight bright. If they ditched the “donut” and focused more on a daylight bright dot that would be great. But it’s hard to call it between the razor 1-6 with daylight bright capability and a scope body that almost disappears when looking through it at 1x and the extra 40% magnification and reticle capabilities. Depends on your needs.

    I'm sure the Vudu is supernsick, but for $1k less I absolutely love the Atibal 1-12x. Although it might not be a true zero at 30', it is still spot on in terms of it being similar to an rds. 2 extra zoomies makes a big difference at distance, 12x can get a decent shooter out to 1000 and beyond. The Atibals are built like tanks with narly turrets that track true. Can you guys do a review lf the Atibal? Fyi, I'm nlt affiliated with them in any way, just love their 1-10x and 1-12x MPVO's.

  • @2amichaelj
    @2amichaelj Před rokem

    They haven't made the eye box and eye relief good for any 1-10 I've tried and I've tried 3 and bought 3. It's a quality scope because it's Eotech but there are serious flaws with the Vudu.
    I would stick with 1-6s like the Trijicon Credo HX, Delta Stryker, Trijicon Accupoint ,Vortex Razor Gen 2 or a Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 if you're on a budget. The Burris RT6 is underrated for the price too. A 1-6 is going to be clearer and the eyebox extremely more forgiving than a 1-10 all day. What good is the 4+ magnification if the image isn't that clear and you're chasing around that eye shadow as you find your eyebox?
    The cheap stuff I honestly, outgrew quickly, within a year like a Swampfox Arrowhead, Primary Arms SLX, and Sig Sauer Tango MSR where glass clarity at higher magnifications is really what you want with your scopes. And these scopes didn't have it. Look thru great glass for a few months and you'll not want to go back.
    The 1x rds likeness in lpvos is overrated. If you want a red dot, just offset one and there's a lot of quality offsets on the market like the Arisaka OOM, Valhalla Tactical mounts for the Aero Ultralight and ADM Recons, and the Scalarworks Kick. The enclosed pistol optics like Steiner MPS have worked well and kept the weight down while keeping the emitter clear from debris.
    I've found keeping my lpvo at higher magnifications and just using my offset for closer targets is quicker than my Eotech EXPS with a G33 or my other rds/magnifer set ups.
    There's a lot to learn with the system however and it's expensive. You need decent mounts, if you're offsetting a rds, a mount for that and a rds plus the actual lpvo too... yeah I can see why people just stick with rds.

      If the 1x stinks and you don’t use it why would you use an lpvo at all? Use a 2-10 that’s far superior in every way especially if offsetting a red dot? I’ve never understood why folks choose the lpvo in this situation and complain about the 1x
