Great tutorial. I'm new to all of this and I'd recommend to any beginner (like me) that is doing this to add about six inches to your core cord. Being new to the diamond knot, I think a little extra slack would have made it a touch easier even if it leaves a bit more to cut off after. I did get it with what I had left but I think it would have been easier with a bit more wiggle room.
For the other beginners here who may struggle getting the right bracelet lengths, I followed his measurements exactly and ended up with two 2-inch pieces of core to cut off and 2 10-inch pieces of wrapping lines to cut off.
This left me with a bracelet that is about 7.5 inches when tightened all the way to 10 inches expanded (i have smaller hands and wrists, so that worked well for me). It was 16 knots, then flip color sides, and 16 more knots.

Excellent video, you explained everything very well and demonstrated it clearly. I am so grateful. I have been expanding my knot knowledge through CZcams. I am so happy I found you. 😊

Tim, this is so cool. I'm not a fan of the Mad Max style for myself, I just prefer buckles. My oldest, she loves being able to adjust the tension on her bracelets. So I've been making them for her. Thanks for the awesome video as always. Cheers!!!

@@TheWeaversofEternity what was the measurement of the gray cord on the jig? I do not have a jig so I have to place two hooks far apart and was wondering the distance you used in this video?

If you altered the amount of passes before you did the twist you'd get a lovely barcode look to the bracelet 🤔

never mind, I missed the part that tells the dimensions. I'm going to try and make a hat band for a 27" circumference hat, so about 175" of paracord will be needed. Please tell me if my math is wrong.
