    I also speak slow and I am actually happy with it. Its just how I talk . It makes people listen and you sound harmonious, secure, and interesting. I think people who talk super fast can be annoying sometimes. So dont care about the negative comment

    Really helpful video Tabitha! I dyed my hair a natural ashy brown however the sun made it really brassy! I made the mistake of using the Joico hair dye alone, for anyone with thick medium length hair I would recommend diluting it with conditioner! My hair soaked up all of the product and resulted in me using the entire tube, it's not as cheap in the UK I bought mine online for £15. My hair is far less brassy after using this dye :)

      Johana Godoy yes. I found it on the Walmart website. I verified the UPC code and it matched the one on Amazon. So far I’ve tried it with conditioner and without and I’m not 100% sure how I feel about the results. Conditioner method did not work for me. The dry hair method did something but No where near “professional” or amazing. It almost dulled my balayage. Not terrible but not something I think I’ll repeat. Every hair type is different so results will vary. Hope this helps.

    Ive been looking for something like this! My sister went to a hairdresser to get her balayage done and she said they used some kind of toner that was grey to stop hers from going brassy. I got my hair done elsewhere and they didn’t use a grey toner, so mine always goes brassy, no matter what blue or purple shampoo i use so i will be trying this!! Thank you, your hair looks amazing!! 😍

    Joico is a brand used by salon professionals! In my opinion it has some conditioning qualities! It just deposits color, no damage at all❤️ love this video

    Very helpful! I liked how you explained that those other products didn’t work, because I keep buying other purple shampoos to tone the brassy tones out of my hair but it only tones the lighter blonde strands, so I will be getting this product and trying it, thanks!

  • @NativeNYerChicHK
    @NativeNYerChicHK Před 4 lety +7

    Since you’re only adding pigment to the outside of the hair strand with this product and not opening your hair shaft with peroxide (developer) to deposit that pigment inside, this should not cause any damage. This is the stuff I use to tone my hair too. I have what’s officially called dark blonde, which to the eye appears medium/light brown, and this still works! I actually got the idea from a CZcams video with on a woman who looked to have bright blonde hair, she used it with conditioner to make her hair cooler rather than warmth it currently had, and it works beautifully for her. So don’t fret, it’ll continue to work if you go lighter!

    Thank you for sharing this product, as I was running into the same issues as you were, and I am hoping this may work a little better 😊 Can you please let me know, if when you rinsed out the toner, did you then use a conditioner, or did you wash and condition you hair, before adding the toner? Your response is greatly appreciated, and you have such lovely hair Tabitha!

    • @alexandriamangano5418
      @alexandriamangano5418 Před 3 lety

      U should try redken Bluelights shampoo and conditioner or blue shampoo conditioner or mask. It helps keep darker hair cool and ash. Purple is really for more lighter levels of blonde, I suing a deeper blue has really helped keep my dark blonde/brown hair cool :) redken is pricy but matrix is a little more affordable!

    Really helpful I was actually going to buy the blue shampoo matrix and I havnt but I want ashy hair and I have similar colour to you so this is really helpful. Think I will try your suggestion. I used the dark envy but it didn't leave it ashy enough for me and like you I don't want to keep spending on products that don't work or get my hair bleached so hopefully this will work for me too 😊😊

    • @sarahginam

      The matrix blue does nothing, I left mine on for hours, and it barely helped. I used the Kerastase green conditioner. Works a lot better. It says to leave on for 5 mins, but I find 8-9 is best for me. It’s more potent than the matrix stuff. The only bad thing is I have to do it so often; I will definitely try this; I can’t find the product as it’s sold out most places. Does anyone know of a good alternative?

    I used an ashy blonde oila dye box to lighten up my red orange strands from bleaching before and then the joico titanium mixed with blue conditioner and it really helped getting the brass out but still have few stubborn streaks so next one I am adding more joico grey in and see what happens

    That only worked because your hair was already lightened.. Meaning putting dark ash hair dye will tone lightened hair. it will make it ashy dark. I have noticed that on my hair too... and you’re right, if your hair is already dark, putting dark on dark doesn’t tone :(

    Do you find that with the joico product it changes the color of your natural hair that’s grown out, your roots? I’m in the process of growing my hair out and I leave my roots untouched and color the rest of my hair with a Demi permanent to tone out the orange, but it never quite gets all the orange out

      Rae Rae If you’re worried about it ruining your virgin color it won’t. It would only stick to high porosity hair, like bleach blonde. I tried it on my roots cause they’re a warmer dark blonde and it barely made a difference, and washed out with other shampoo.

      I think that just happens when the brown dye starts to wash out :( Try using “ash brown” colors, or really anything that has an A behind the shade number. I like 6A because it’s close to my natural color. Otherwise, you have to tone your hair with shampoos, toners and other dyes since chocolate brown is made with orange pigments, and ash brown with blue/green.
