There’s no problem in being a good person man I’ve given up my whole collection to a kid in 2009. Rebought a bunch in 2013.
It’s better than having 1000s of cards including a lot of first editions stolen by your bitter ex like me. He was bitter I had the cards still from childhood and he didn’t :/ be comforted yours went to good places

I just started collecting and unfortunately I've focused on quantity over quality. I had a Lighting Storm 1st for a bit, most expensive cars I've had. I think my best card still is a Blue Eyes Toon secret I think was from the reprint SRL, or 1st Animadorned Archosaur

I first bought someone's collection/card lots to see what was there and what to pursue (NOT a good idea to keep doing bc cheaper collections and lots are not worth it). I started also with 3 PRIO and a Cozmo Blazer boxes. Sealed is much better to buy but you want to know what you're buying

The most expensive I’ve ever owned was a copy of magicians souls from LED6, but since I sold it, right now it would have to be my 1st edition copy of Forbidden Droplet

If you have any volume 1 reprints of Dark Magician hold onto it now. It will build up value overtime get a PSA10 grade on it and it'll easily fetch 1k+ here in 5 years because the volume 1 reprint was small and short on top of being released only in Japan.

I have never owned a card that is even in the range of this value. You were spot on when you say you can't value something that has never been sold before but auction values seem pretty good way of valuing them.

I think the most expensive card I have is CR Stardust Dragon Unlim. from Toon Chaos, and I got it just from a loose booster which was cool when I did find out it was CR and not just an SR or something.
The most valuable card in my collection would have to be a 1st edition ghost rare Odin, Father of the Aesir from Storm of Ragnarok.
My most expensive card right now is a lob 1st ed blue eyes white dragon mint 10. Funny thing is my father like to collect stuff and got me a few boxes when I was a kid. He told me to save 2 of them since they might be worth a lot at some point. I opened 1 of them 2 years ago and pulled that glorious gem.
My rarest card is an Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess ( Starlight Rare ). Happened to capture it on a recording and my reaction was complete disbelief!! Was supposed to be a relaxed opening, the only box of Rising Rampage I ever opened!
Also pulled a Starlight rare D.D crow from ROTD for my first ever box opening after coming back to Yugioh after 10+ years... Recorded it too!

Winged dragon of ra ghost rare second is red eyes dark dragoon I got him from one random tin at Walmart so hyped.
Morphing Jar easily #1. As you stated, the amount of packs you'd have to buy and open to get one is incredible. Not to mention it used to be a card used in duels (before the TP4/DB2 reprint), which makes finding GEM Mint ones from that time even harder. Btw, yours is a Jar with Jinzos Head.. or am I just seeing things 🧐

@@bryani. If you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't comment. There are multiple listings on eBay and on IG for PSA 10 Corrected arts asking ~$5k.
When PSV came out I bought a booster box and pulled a Jinzo. It was and is still an iconic and beautiful card. At the time I believe you none of the grading services would grade yugioh cards. So I sold it to a very happy guy in England for $150 usd. Looking at the prices now for yugioh cards....wow! I should have just kept it, and all my other yugioh cards.....oh well, haha.
I remember as a kid i used to have foil blue eyes, foil monster rebornS (i had about 4 of them) foil dark magician. That’s all i can remember , but I’m pretty sure i had tons more from first edition.. crazy that now it’s worth the money it id

The rarest card I ever pulled was Invader of Darkness from IOC. Secret rare I think, but just my luck it ended up being probably the worst and least valuable secret rare from the original sets haha.
After looking through my entire collection and comparing prices I only managed to find two very valuable cards

I’ve just got back to collecting. Lucky I still had my old cards left from when I was younger. I didn’t have anything super expensive but I did find my first edition tri-horned dragon from LOB and I think that’s definitely my most expensive

I had a I:P Masquerena Ultra Rare before the 2020 mega tins released so as if right now I'd say Pot of Extravagance would be my most expensive card at the moment. And honestly just having Slifer would be perfect because that's the only god card I'm missing from my 2019 mega tin. 🔥🔥🔥
I think that my most expensive card is 1st ed Chaos Emperor Dragon from IOC and that my rarest card is 1st ed Tri-Horned Dragon from LOB. Awesome showcase Ruxin! All those cards look amazing! I remember that TP2 Morphing Jar cost $200 back in the day, so 8k sounds about right.

My rarest is probably my Red Eyes from BPT. I picked it up as a PSA 5 on ebay but I got a good deal of only around $55. I also have a PSA 8 Red Eyes from SDJ, 1st edition. Hands down my favourite card and favourite artwork.
Such cool cards! I got a B. Skull dragon secret rare at a garage sale as a kid. Absolutely my favorite card still. So nostalgic and so cool to look at. It's a bit damaged though, so I haven't gotten it graded or anything

Yeah I just found out mine is my ghost rainbow dragon but I couldn't dare let go of it I have all my crystal bees hollow because I want it and all shiny deck and I have one rainbow dragon of every rarity my ultimate is in Japanese because that was the only way it came out ultimate it came to us I think ghost and ultra.
I have been collecting for a long time but I wish I could value my cards like you do instead of having to look up each card individually I'm sure when I do that I have some pretty valuable ones too
Restarted collecting about a year ago, but found that I was needing some money, so I've been selling all my high valued items. From my pulls, I think pulling the two Ghost Rare Ra's would be the best, but I've also pulled playsets of Ulti Solemn Judgements and Twin Twisters.

My rarest cards were an ultra rare Blue Eyes White Dragon from retro pack 1, a gold rare Dark armed dragon and a secret rare Stardust Dragon from the tins. With the amount of reprints the value of these were affected a lot but they’re still valued to me a lot regardless!
Probably my most expensive is harpie feather duster 🤔

My most rare (not expensive at all but valuable sentimentally) card is a one of a kind creation called Dino, which is a heavily damaged version of the McDonald's Trakadon card with an entirely new head drawn onto the damaged portion of the card and an attack of 9999. Sure some people may have cards worth thousands of dollars but this one is unique.
Back in 03’ was at the play place at McDonald’s dueling with a friend after school when all of a sudden bunch of Hispanic kids ran towards us and picked up a pile of my cards and along with it was my Black Skull Dragon. The boy who took em handed them over to the girl they’re with who ran into the Women’s restroom and was in there for minutes. I was 11 and had to be home by 6, plus I still had my priced fairy theme deck w/ winged weaver I used to run thinking those cards were more valuable anyways so I just let it go..

I didn't hear you mention the misprint with that morphing jar... from the looks of that card, it looks like the Jinzo/morphing jar misprint. I believe I saw the jinzo head on that card. Pretty awesome.

well the most of the value it's the grade that they have,and the fact that they are first edition, if those cards wouldn't be first edition and graded 10/10 they value wouldn't even be close to that, oh and of course the edition itself.

I'm more into collecting raw cards rather than slabs because binders make me feel like a kid again lol! With that said, my most expensive raw card would probably be my TP2 Axe Raider. Most expensive PSA slabs would probably be either a 20th anniversary OCG ghost rare BEWD OG anime art or my DDS Exodia head that was signed by Dan Green (yugi/ pharoh english voice actor). Shout out to Petiparty for the hook up on that one.

I pulled a Lightning Storm (Secret Rare) out of an Ignition Assult blister pack. Currently my most expensive card lol. Just got back into collecting after a long time so that was a nice pull.
I think my most expensive cards at the moment are a starlight rare Chamber Dragonmaid, a ghost rare Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon and the ghost rare Winged Dragon of Ra. All three pulled by myselfe but they arent PSA graded or so ^^
Also i have some old school first eds in my collection but i dont know all the prices of them. ^^
I have a jinzo unlimited that I pulled about 2 years ago. I haven't graded it but looks to be mint. Maybe one day I'll get it graded and come back as a 10 :) love the vids man!

Thanks for sharing your rarest card, I grew up playing yugioh games/cards and watching it but I grew up from a 3rd world country so I didn't get the luxury of owning actual original cards so I collected a ton of trash replicas which is mainly the ones they sell in most stores here. My most expensive Card might be the Ghost Rare Winged Dragon of Ra i pulled 2 weeks Ago 🥳 also got Hamon, Uria and Raviel all SOI Ultimate Rare left from the Past.
Sadly traded away so many Cards that are very valuable now when i was a Kid back in the Days around 20 years ago 🙈. For example got Monster Reborn,Lob,Ultra Rare (maybe first Edition) from my very first Boosterpack and traded it away for Babydragon Common .. ouch 😅. Also had Jinzo PSV, Blue Eyes White Dragon LOB, Dark Magican Girl + Dark Paladin MFC or B. Skull Dragon MRD and many more traded away for better Stuff than Baby Dragon but now i wish i would have kept them. 😂

My most expensive cards are: Jinzo 1st edition psv, Blue eyes toon dragon 1st edition mrl (italian version) and blue eyes white dragon sdk 1st ed. But they are surely not gem mint, they're around good and excellent condition but I'm happy anyway

My MRD-000 Gate Guardian is lightly played and I’ve seen some sell for the upper $800’s. That’s probably my most expensive *now* .
I once owned a FMR Harpies Pet Dragon too. I see they sell for gross amounts now. Sadly I no longer have my copy; I lost it when I was younger.
Cool promos! Used to have the ghost blue eyes in PSA 10. Moved it on a couple years ago but the values gone up so much!

Hi, I recently discovered my old collection and I'm looking at getting a few graded. I have a few LOB first editions that have been sat in a folder for maybe 18 years or so now. Many of my collection though are the european versions, all first editions but after having had a quick look on the PSA website the european versions seem to be worth next to nothing compared to the US version. Is there any reason for this? At a guess i assume the us version was released first. I've never had anything graded before so any advice if its just worth having the US versions graded ect and not bother with the european set for example would be appreciated. Thanks for any help
Yeah, the US was released a decent bit earlier than the Euro. Also, since there are more collectors in the US they go for the NA versions because that is what they had
I don't have graded or super expensive cards, but maybe all my oldschool cards....injection fairy lily, jinzo, CED, and some more, all secrets from and pulled from their original packs and some ultras / supers too.
I have the cyberdark dragon in a pretty good condition. Do you recommend keeping it or the value wont rise that much?

Even some of the unlimited old school cards are starting to become very expensive, a mirror force from metal raiders is now 50 dollars and a Dark Paladin unlimited is now over 100
