We experimented last year using this same method and it turned out great we did bell peppers hot peppers and tomatoes with wonderful results

I just took a few moments to read many of the comments. And most are asking the same questions. What is the growing medium and what fertilizer was used.
And of course that is not the information you will get here.
It doesn't matter what growing medium is used, it's all about the fertilizer. There may have been fertilizer in the dripper water or mixed into the soil before being bagged.
However, I suspect it is the soil itself doing the trick.
The soil in many Asian farming communities is full of animal manure mostly pig and chicken, both of which are very rich and highly productive. The soil is also very moisture retentive so dripper methods work well.
It is hard to duplicate this type of method in other parts of the world unless you have soil from a pig or chicken pen to bag up. That soil will be high in nitrogen, phosphate, potassium (all of which gives you a very high reading of NPK) plus heaps of trace elements and massive soil fungal and bacterial life. Only in tropical regions will you manage to recreate that degree of soil biolife.

Plus the method shown is advantageous to those living in flats and apartments with balconies
Big durable plastic sacks are more efficient and resilient to the weather than fragile plastic/clay pots. 💪😐

I am amaze of you soil mixture. Could you share it. Thank you.
The best soil mixture I've found is, 1/3 soil from your area, ( if clay add sand, if sand add clay, human), 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 alfalfa pellets.( Horse feed) Mix and add water, let it heat/compost for about 7-10 days, ( I have a largest tote at all times on standby, and when I am done with the pot, bag, whatever it goes into the raised bed
I fertilize according to the crop raised, it varies, I soil tested our soil so know what micro nutrients it takes, or use Osmosocote slow release, you can always twerk it with a 20-20-20, or what combo best suites your plant, or go organic.
My Mom grew stuff on her balcony into her mid 80s I would have her tote full of prepared soil, and she had a kitchen scraps bucket and watered with the tea it produced, changed it every month or so re smells.,

Look for a natural, organic potting mix-they're specially formulated for containers with nutrients already added. A good potting mix will hold moisture and provide the plant's roots with aeration and important nutrients.

Hey, it might have been blossom end rot. It happens when there's a calcium deficiency. Google the pictures to see if it matches what happened to your bell peppers

Good idea, but the secret has to be in what you use in the soil or how you feed your soil/ plants.
putting the plant above ground will help controlling slugs / snail but will not make the plant and fruits to grow faster, I know cos I try and fail this year.
