As we go on this journey you can see why many double deckers are being fitted with something called a "tree-bar" on the front left hand side of the top deck to prevent tree branches from causing breakages and damage to the vehicles.
Looking at the way some motorists park or abandon their cars, you would be forgiven for thinking they got their license in a lucky dip. The example that really sticks out in my mind is when the bus driver has to manoeuvre around a small hatchback parked at bus stop, about half a mile from the kerb and very close to a T-junction, before he turns right into Highfield Road in Torkington.
😞 Oh dear! What a dreary ride through a vast business park. Manchester seems to be a version of Gotham City with so many anonymous modernist buildings. At least we saw several colourful trams . . . 😢!
