I am just now finding rock painting and after being told I was not an artist me entire life, I am loving this! I stumbled upon one of your tutorials and I can not get enough. I am a HUGE fan and can’t wait to try one of your tutorials. Thank you for sharing!!
I was also told that when I was younger! Don't ever let anyone decide that for you! Just have fun!❤❤❤❤
Great Tutorial! Thank you for that " now why didn't I ever think of that?" moments ❣
So simple…. I’m totally going to give this a try. Thank you for sharing this ♥️♥️♥️. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
You have The Coolest Stuff on the web , thank you so much!
💓💓
Love this! I have a Godzillion cheap brushes to massacre! I can make a bunch of blenders and liners. Thank you as always for this great advice. I paint dot mandalas mostly, but your glossy gems are really inspiring me to go beyond my comfort zone. That curling trick may be a bit advanced for me though. 😂
Thank you so much, just watched your fine lining tutorial and now the blending brush, you are amazing. I am no artist just do to keep my mind busy.
I love that you create your own tools! I can’t wait to try out a blending brush. Do you have an idea for a lazy Susan for rocks? I love your videos and I’ve learned so much. Thank you for sharing your craft!
Thank you, I have been searching everywhere for 'blending brushes"!!!
Thanks, Rachel, I really appreciate all your great helpful tutorials. I have tons of brushes and thanks to you, I'll now have blender brushes. Love your rocks, you Rock!!!
You have nothing to apologize for. It's who you are. You are authentic and an inspiration to many, including me. I thank you for sharing your artistry.
You cracked me up when you tossed the flat brush to the side! LOL!
Lol 😂
Your tutorial really helped. I was nervous to take this leap....now I will go forward into the future. Thank you.
I finally made it to this video in my binge!!! Definitely have it saved for making my own!! Thanks Rachel.
This is awesome thank you.
Happy to sit through the ads - I know it helps a little at your end. Just had to subscribe - looking forward to catching up on your awesome videos. You ROCK!!!
Beautiful! Thank you! I live near a bunch of casinos and restaurants that use these river rocks in their landscapes! I would never go gather a "bunch" though. There are cameras everywhere lol! I might pick up one on my way out!
Awesome 💛
In case you didn’t know, the metal part that needs to be round is called the “ferrule”. At an art store, that might clarify what you’re looking for.
Thanks so much for sharing! I tend to watch your tutorials later at night, and the 'dancing brushes' cracked me up :)
😁🤣 that's what happens when I film tutorials late at night lmao
Great tip
You ROCK! Thank you! Can’t believe I didn’t see this before!

Hi Rachel ,
Thank you for sharing this great tip.
I really appreciate it!
Rachel please tell me how can I buy
The brush like the one you use
To paint golden lines
How an I ask for one in Amazon?
Thanks Rachel 😊
Thank you once again for another fab video. I had to go chop down a couple brushes straight way to try this out. Awesome!! They work wonderfully even tho they were cheap brushes. Back to Micheal's tomorrow for some brushes or order the set you recommend :) :) :)
Thank You!!!😊🎨
Thank you so, SO much!
Thank you
Omg its sooo pretty!!!!
Hi Rachel your work is beautiful I love your Love rock I've fallen in love with it colors are beautiful. ❤
I’d 💝 to see you do something on a smooth slate placemat ~ they have them on Amazon with cup mats
thank you for your time
❤
Rachel, thank you for your tutorials, you do beautiful work. Can you please tell me what you use to dab away then extra paint on an item, like the white tool you used to remove paint on the Gnome’s hat?
it's actually a Martha Stewart sponge dauber and I'm just adding lighter blue to the Gnomes hat but I find any kind of sponge works really well.
Thank you so much for sharing u just made simple when it comes to brushes. Lol. Where do you get your rocks from?
Loved your video, first time watching, can you tell me where you get your rocks? Thank you so much. Beautifully done.
Just curious, the brush you cut looks like natural hair. The large pack comes with only gold and white taklon. Is that the golden taklon?
Rachel. How can I buy the brush ,like the one you use
To paint golden lines?
After you've cut it down, is it supposed to be kinda really stiff? Or should I use one of my softer bristle brushes to cut down? I tried once already, and it seems to be way too bouncy, hard-like??? Thanks!!!
Are you self taught or did you take art classes? I want to say that I love your videos and your talent is amazing! Love from Michigan!
Thank you so much 💓 totally self-taught 💖
love you!!
❤
Hi I live in Montana and can’t seam to find any flat Rocks like yours.... Do you buy yours or just find them in nature? I have MS so I’m not able to hold the big rocks and some of the other ones that you can buy that are flat black rocks are so tiny it’s hard to paint on the because they are too small... yours looks perfect 👌🏼 thanks for all your videos.
genial. danke. ❤️
your work is so beautiful!!!
Did use use that rock for your "Northern Sky" tutorial?
So beautiful. Like 20
Thank you!❤
Thanks so much for the great videos. I wondered if a make up sponge would work as well as the one from Martha Stewart? Have you tried it?
They work great!! I usually use my brushes for a smaller areas!!😁
Lov'n this~ Silly question-do you change color when adding a new color? Do you rinse them? Can they be used damp or is this an absolute dry brush technique. Thanks for all you've shared with us!
No such thing as a silly question! When I add a new color I do use a fresh clean sponge/brush or else your colors end up turning into the color of mud once all of them mixed together. Always best to rinse the sponge or blending brush, or use a fresh clean one when changing to a new color! It's okay if it's a little bit damp. I hope this helps!!
Thank you. Appreciate the speedy response and helpful info.
💝
😍
I love your videos, you use holographic glitter paint from folkart. Is 2796 the same as 2782 holographic?
I havent seen that kind yet, but If the glitter is more of a teal sparkle then yes it is the same!
How did you draw the circles on top?
Im sorry which circles? I use a compass to draw circles. I use it in all of my rock painting tutorials that require me to have a circle..
Have you ever done a wolf, my grand son love wolves
What kind of varnish do you use on your beautiful stones
Thank you! I use art resin!! Completely non-toxic and safe to use indoors. Here is my tutorial czcams.com/video/76K9Exf-v6Q/video.html
💖😍💕
what do you use for the high shine Rachel? I will be watching all your videos but for now just wanted to know that.
I use Artresin ❤️ I have a Tutorial on it as well!!
@@rachelsrockscanada Thanks. Will be binge watching your videos for a while now. Can' hardly wait!. Have a wonderful day Doll.
Have you done liquid pours on rocks?
I unfortunately have never poured anything!! It is something I plan to teach myself!!!
I think you forgot to put the link for the craftsmart brushes in your description box? I couldn't find it. ☹️
So sorry I got those at Michaels! I will try to find the link!
This is the same only from plaid. canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Product-Show?pid=10046398
Can we share the videos to our groups?
Sure!!

It looks like you pick up only a little paint for this technique.
Yes when blending with brushes or sponges I always dab off any extra paint! ☺️
Is your floor covered in unwanted paintbrushes 🤣🤣
