Wow, 440 HP? The way this S5 accelerates to 200 kmh suggests it has quite a bit more than 440 HP.
maybe because it has large power/torque band. some cars have high hp numbers but only at the very top end of rpm.
i think thats why some car with 450hp accelerate as fast as some with 500-550

Im definitely not an VAG lover, but thats my second favorite Audi, in my favorite color (almost) with my favorite Audi engine.
I got the B8 S4 with dual pulley, intake, test pipes and heat exchanger. 500+HP can't wait to get some dragy numbers this summer.
How is it reliability wise ?

Out of curiosity, what do you find better in the B9’s than these B8.5’s? I personally think they cheaper out on the B9’s and the build quality/design is not as good
@@ipolarisi2381 just a few points from my perspective: more robust engine and gearbox (over 700hp on stock block and gearbox on some tuners (like IE Engineering or 034 Motorsport). One tuner (M2motorsport) even got 780whp on the stock block and gearbox), the stock fueling system can handle e85 fuel, stock you already got a valved exhaust, massaging seats when you get the bucket like seats, 6 Piston brake calipers in the front, the b9 platform is also more rear balanced and with the sports diff it can go sideways even in the dry, the b9 has from the factory allready burbels and pops when lifting from the gas or when you downshift and not to forget the fresher design inside and out.
@@orduluilker Appreciate the comment, are those numbers with the stock turbos as well though? Either way turbos can almost always produce more power than superchargers. I definitely agree that the B9 has a more modern interior of course but I find it to be less aesthetically pleasing, the materials used in it don’t look/feel as good and things like the centre console doesn’t seem as well built, in the B8.5 it all faces towards the driver like cabin in a plane but in the B9 it just faces straightforward and feels like a normal car. I also don’t like the screen in the B9, of course it is way more modern and useful than the one in the B8.5 but it looks like someone just stuck an iPad on the dashboard whereas the one in the B8.5 blends in seamlessly with the rest of the dashboard. I’m also not a fan of the noise/exhaust system, don’t get me wrong it’s very cool that it has a valved exhaust but it just sounds like a 2.0 S3 especially with the pops and bangs, it doesn’t have that characteristic sporty sound that the b8.5 v6 does, not to mention it has a turbo so you miss out on that awesome supercharger whine. In terms of the exterior design, I really don’t like it. I hate the look of most of the new Audis as they all seem less aggressive looking and look like a toy car. With the B9 S5 it just looks like a nice, luxury car made for a businessman. Nothing about it appears sporty or mean looking unlike the B8.5
@@ipolarisi2381 These Numbers are with hybrid Turbos (034 and IE are using the TTE710) while M2 Motorsport uses a custom Turbo.
It will be interesting, where the b9 platform will go as TTE released the 810 turbo.
I know what you mean with the I pad but they integrated it pretty well in the dashboard in the pre facelift. The facelift one looks terrible without the MMI controller and not integrated screen.

I find this car a bit small for thick men like me. The sedan is more comfortable. Or I am just too used to my s class lol my butt gets air sits and massage at the same. Nice car though.
It's an A4/A5(they are the same platform) that's C class size.. can't compare that to an S class at all😂
