Rare Wood Table Build | Woodworking No Talking

- I build a live edge slab and epoxy resin table from a large slab of rare mappa burl wood. This is a no talking satisfying woodworking build. This live edge mappa burl slab broke immediately upon removing from the crate. I fixed it using the ancient japanese technique of Kintsugi which is applying gold leaf inlay to the broken cracks. This table sold for $6000.

I don't care what people say about live edges and epoxy. I LOVE these tables! Don't stop makeing them!
Epoxy tables are easily scratched and they lose their color very fast rasin tables are useless only used for arts
This is amazing, just hearing the machinery and background noise felt so soothing to me.
Its always so amazing to see a "mishap" turn into a treasure. You totally could have given up on that hunk of wood that became hunks of wood, but you still turned it into something beautiful!
The sheer positive approach to make something creative out of these live edge cuts is why I watch. It's about the possibilities. Sure there will be errors and frustrations, but a craftsman always learns to work and adapt. In the end, these projects will be celebrated for years to come. One day, we'll own one of these beauties ourselves! ❤
No talking! I’ve noticed the better the craftsman the less need to self-aggrandize. Thanks and by the look of your finished product, the theory holds up.
I love the slabs such as this one, they have so much character.
OMFG. This is an astoundingly beautiful table. I especially love the fact that you repaired the slab with kintsugi. I’ve seen so many bowls and tea cups repaired like this, because the broken item is so precious to the owner. But I think you undercharged.
I'm always so jealous of the workshops guys like you and Blacktail studios have. Dreams for sure. Beautiful work obviously.
Easily an $18000. Table
FOR REAL!!! I HAVE BEEN in the woodworking business all my life and you are undercharging for this wonderful skill of yours!
I think the leading motivator for me in watching you is your artistic vent. I sense that you want to try new stuff with little concern for “fixing it if..”. It’s always a learning thing. That’s artistic
The transfer between wood shop sounds and music is pretty cool
Phantastic what out of such an untreated broken plate of a trunk comes out to a marvelous table masterpiece - surprising the artificial knowledge of the producer.
This is the coolest "offcut table I have ever seen! For some reason over the last year, I think of it often.
Offcuts and Kintsugi - two reminders to look for the best in people and situations in life. You really never know what someone else has been through.
I love the contrast between the timber and the gold inlay.
I sat the whole time with my jaw gaping! What a fantastic piece of artwork! Thanks, for sharing!
Offcuts are just amazing. Love what you're doing Jonny. Keep it up. There is a certain calmness watching something like this on youtube 🙂
This table was awesome the first time I seen it, and here we are again and it's still amazing!
I never knew I needed woodworking asmr in my life, but I do! :D
Okay. It's neat to watch a different video about the making of this table! Fun to see!
Live edge is amazing. Kintsugi is amazing. BOTH! is the best.
Kintsugi...love it. Wonderful idea!
the gold really adds a pop to an already lovely piece
This proves you need to do a no talking version of every one of your main channel videos and upload here with wood working sounds, and great music :D
The original video of this was amazing, and now I can watch this one repeatedly to relax. Love shop sounds vids, so I'm super excited you're working on some!
Watching the gold inlay again reminds me just how much work went into this
That is a beautiful table 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE that you're listening to Tool in the beginning!
I remember watching the original Johnny Builds video and thought, this was a cool project might as well watch it again.
It did not disappoint.
Wow , absolutely stunning . You should have held out for more . The price seem to me was just for labor . You did a wonderful job either way. Watching the video was like watching an artist paint a picture. Well done .
Wow the table at the end looks fantastic. I wasnt able to envision such a great result when i saw the wood falling apart t the begining.
Not a big gold person, but that leaf really complimented the piece nicely.
I've watched this video twice now. I think you did an amazing job.
This table is absolutely stunning! I have worked with gold leaf on small projects and it was frustrating... you made it look effortless!
You know it - here for the table 😄
A true artisan at work. Thank you for sharing
I think this table is among my favourites of all the things you've build :) I just love the colours and the organic shapes
I think I might have freaked out if I received something like that which proceeded to break in multiple places. That you handled that with such aplomb and just got to work on it is a testament to your skill and perseverance.
The kintsugi turned out great. Love it!
This is the video that introduced me to your channel. Been an avid viewer since then, glad to witness your progress as a woodworker/maker through every project you post
Beautiful piece of art. I love how you let the gold leaf float out. It’s magical. New subscriber here. Your channel showed up in my recommendations. ❤ .
Once again a “woodie” has taken a gift from Mother Nature and made an awesome piece of art. And once again this would look just marvelous in my den. Cheers
Awesome build. I have always enjoyed just watching the transformation over the build!
I love this video. No talking and no back ground music
I watched the other video for this build. And the work you do is amazing. Keep up the great work. Aardvark!!!
A no-talking woodworking video with Tool blaring in the shop.
You are my kind of person.
Great work, brother!
Stunning. And watching this video was so relaxing. Love the contrasting channels.
I keep watch this one, you did such an awesome job on it!
Magnífica! Talento e Arte Beleza
You were listening to my favorite Tool songs!! Love that you’re also a Tool fan as well as a fellow woodworker.
Es un artista! Una obra de arte!
Great video! I’ll recommend it to all my Aardvark friends👍🏼
Preciosa! Un encanto! Éste artista!
Yeah, that guilding process - it was very cool.
I loved watching this table being made on your main channel
Aardvark. Love watching you. I've learned a lot about epoxy from watching you. Keep it up!
Beautiful job! I love the contrast.
I wish we had this kind of wood around here.
The beginning of the video I never thought this table would be so beautiful it is a work of art
in the beginning it was wood, now its a piece of chemical bad smelling piece of 100 kilo Epoxy.
badest possible for this poor piece of wood.
@@ulmerbube8388к чему стремиться, чтоб конечный продукт был максимально натуральным?
You make it look easy. Love watching you work.
Next time sell your work with twice. There's quite a lot of skill in that build. I also love that you have no annoying musak in the background

I always save my scrap/Offcuts on anything I build (being its always a rough build)
Beautiful
Endlessly awesome!
The gold leafing looks like lava flowing out of the center of the table. 🌋
Stunning table!
Good work, a fine looking piece.
Another beautiful table!
Offcuts! this is my favorite of your pieces so far. Thanks for the amazing videos!!
awesome table, beatiful end result, should've asked way more for it ye

Had no idea this channel was here until today! Love it! Offcuts. 🙂

I think this was my first video of yours that I ever watched, and it’s still one of my favorite projects that you’ve done (maybe a close 2nd to the Star Wars table 🤔)
Уникальная работа, у мастера богатейшее воображение! 🎉
bu ne muhteşem bir şey böyle, sanat eseri, insan kullanmaya kıyamaz.. bravo😍👏
stunning!
The table came out sweet.
Beautiful work, you are a great artist and craftsman!!!!
Another beauty!! Amazing work!!
Yes. There is at least $14000 there. The work, plus the artistry, plus the creativity, all add up.
I do love the finish on this table 😍
This was really relaxing to watch! Not sure if I like these types of videos more or the ones where you narrate/talk.
Came from the marquetry table vid. Great to see more content!
