Will someone please make a pedal called “Ned Flangers”
You'd probably get sued.
@@Kohntarkosz they couldn’t sue over that. It’s not infringing on any copyright
@@yungstaben7675 Maybe not, but the belief that you might get sued might be enough to stop anyone from doing it.
@@Kohntarkosz if a band can exist called Okily Dokily that fully dress as Ned Flanders I’m gonna say Ned Flanger is fine to use.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Josh: “The original one is red. I have that at home; yes I have more pedals at home.”
Me: I thought this was your home....
I thought it was his spare room! Ha!
Same
On Instagram they showed pictures of this room. It’s not a fully built room. It’s more like a room built for a sitcom. It’s at their office.
Pretty sure it's like the Upstairs office space of JHS Pedal HQ.
But does he have the box?
They should have put flange on “He has the box.”
The electric mistress just makes me think of one thing today: happy birthday David gilmour!
What songs does he use it on?
soldierinall “Not now John”, Fletcher memorial home, run like hell, mother
@@larrylampshade1734 That's flange? Always thought it was chorus of some sorts, but as Josh says, flange is a sort of chorus.
soldierinall which song? You mean all of them in general? I could be wrong, but I am 99% certain that all of the modulation in the wall/Animals/the Final Cut/his solo record was all EHX electric mistress
Makes me think of Dan from TPS
Went to Guitar Center once asking if they had any used flanger pedals. The clerk laughed and said that they don’t carry a lot really because no one is really using flanger pedals anymore...
...So I wrote a song using a flanger pedal I got at SamAsh and I’m excited to release it soon. The demo title was “That Guy at GC Can Suck It”
subtitle:...he's not wrong though
Jake Custer share the link when available!
Jake...don't change the title. It's perfect!
Sam Ash>GC.
Although some Sam ashes do suck. Depends on who works at the store. They guys at my local store Rock
I went into an Aussie store (Gladesville Guitar Factory) and asked if he had any delays with tap & a display (like a Nova, Providence Chrono, etc).
He gave me a white Emerson Pomery. I said "That's an overdrive/boost, mate"
So then he gave me a black Emerson Pomeroy.
Genius at work.
Favorite flanger album is definitely “seventeen seconds” by the cure (1980). In addition to tape loops and tape flanging, they used every flanger they could get their hands on.
That old Ibanez flanger looks so cool and sounds fantastic!
We played a cover of "A Forest" in an old band I was in, and those twenty minute flange jams definitely ruined the sound for me forever.
I can't think of a flanger without thinking Robert Smith.
I agree with you.
I think when he was with Siouxsie he had one flanger (mistress?) on a stand, maybe to help changing settings. Although Robert Smith is known for using Boss pedals, in 1980 he probably used something else. Porl Thompson used a TC flanger I think.
Favorite record with flanging - Reggatta de Blanc by The Police!
Man, I got pulled over on Father's Day. Such BS.
@@ryangunwitch-black i got arrested for assault with a deadly weapon on my birthday. i told the police but they didnt even care
Mine is Unchained by van halen
I prefer "De do do do De da da da" by The Police.
The outro of Jimi’s Bold as Love. It’s the best ever. You’re welcome
bassdroppointsource! Yes, but the beginning of "House Burning Down" is the bestest ever. Thanks.
That section is flanger central
Flanger sounds sweet on drums! Tame impala has songs with flanging drum.
“HE HAS THE BOX!” T-Shirt, where do I order?
I would buy that shirt but my wife would not let me wear it!
dlbrownmac You could get her one that reads, “She has the package!”?
“NOT AFRAID OF THE GERMS” t-shirt perhaps? Timely & timeless.
Best Idea EVER!
I want video just on cool pedal boxes. *O*
Every time I use a flanger, I'm like "nope". But when I see reviews I'm like, "I want that."
Me too.
I just want a flanger for that authentic sound when I play Rooster.
That’s me with every modulation pedal.
It's a tricky effect.
Often awful. But sometimes beautiful.
Josh, you are an endless font of effects pedal knowledge, and I never tire of your deep dives into obscure pedaltry. Please don't ever stop.
Actually, I hate flangers but I still watched the whole 22 minutes because u know..
It’s josh
"I'm kind of running out of riffs"
I thought you were talking about your jokes.
@@joeyskar I actually like Josh's jokes and most of his actual riffs
He has the box his riffs came in!
@@BrandochGarage there's a lot of jokes about things coming in boxes, but YT would nuke me if I actually made them.

Imaging that Pearl Flanger coupled together with a DOD Gonkulator and a Miku Pedal, oooo the madness
Then get a drummer with the Lars saint anger snare
Thanks for this, now I have to buy a Miku and that flanger
yeah it def has a sound for sure
@@luispereztasso your welcome, enjoy the madness

I love these videos. They are so relaxed and you get to listen a bit of every type of pedal history out there. Also, the references Josh makes always get me off guard.
"He has the box" is now my favorite theme song.
Friday - home early - got some beer - survived another week watching guitar related stuff - lovely thanks
"Brass In Pocket" by The Pretenders. Classic flanger hook.
Thanks for the in depth dive - lots of flavors to choose from. And special thanks for the Flaming Lips choice - truly a grand set of songs!!!
John McGeoch is my personal favorite flanger user, as it was pretty much his signature sound (think he used the MXR). Siouxsie and the Banshees Juju is an amazing example of his amazing use of the pedal, as are the Magazine records...The Correct Use of Soap is SOOO GOOD!
Nick Wade 💯
I do agree!
John is the reason I ever purchased an MXR Flanger! I was gonna get a Yamaha SG too, but after trying them out (and budget considerations) went with a Revstar, which despite being quite different in a lot of ways, just felt great to play.
Words taken right outta my mouth !
I always loved flanger sounds of Adam Jones from TOOL, he uses a Boss BF-2 which blends really great with his (and band's) tone. It can be heard on songs like "Forty Six & 2", "The Pot", "Jambi", "Schism", "The Patient", "Stinkfist" or "Jimmy".
I was going through a “hating flanger” period 🤫 years ago,
(not in all recordings, just personally playing my BF-2) where I would have probably just handed my purple y BF-2 to anyone who asked. It wasn’t until I learned those Tool songs you mentioned used the same one that I cared about it. This is after years of it collecting dust. He just uses it so tastefully, and it fits the vibe of the songs like a glove. It sounded more supple and airy than what I was getting. I simply didn’t explore the controls in depth / properly. Now I have about 6-7 settings I love. Including a faux Leslie sound an amazing chorus sound and the list goes on. I think I was also just sick of seeing only boss pedals constantly was part of it. They were absolutely everywhere when I was getting into playing. Besides a Phase 90 and a wah.. that’s all I had/saw. I was sick of even looking at them haha. Shame on me!! All these years later, and I can’t believe I ever felt that way. It’s funny how Boss became cool. You would try all the new and exciting looking / sometimes sounding pedals until the sheen wore off. Some started to feel gimmicky. Boss just gets it done, and I would come back over and over. This is about 2500 9v batteries later. The guy at the only local music store didn’t know how to power/daisy chain pedals from a power supply, and told me that lol. Even though the testing room had all boss pedals powered from one. It’s like he thought that was a special setup that came with the boss brand board?? I don’t know man. It was weird. And so is my blabbing to a comment years later. So see ya later ;)
@@Rarebirdeffects Man, if I can reward your attention about this comment after those few years in any way: check Boss ME-5, it's one of their first multieffects which has amazing flanger sounds and is all analog as well as MIDI compatible, so you can have presets you can recall and it's currently dirt cheap. Pretty big but if you give it a chance, the tone is worth the effort!
@@alexlubinski7795 sounds wonderful. Thanks for the years later response. Thanks, I’ll check it out for sure :)
Im not a fan. I have seen them many times. Their fans are like zombies in a cult. Someone told me their album was a rip off of an unknown artist that vanished or something. Could be true. Not a clue. I think that band is very "dirty" as in toxic water. ... Anywho im not sure but i think ajs tone puts the flanger first as in before distortion. If not it would be a good idea. Evh or even rhandy roads used flanges during rhythmic punches or arpeggios.
wtf dude lol@@marvelherman419
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Kaleidoscope comes to mind. Great album, and uses the old MXR flanger I believe
Really innovative stuff, love John McGeoch
@@BGTsoundandvision it's a toss up between that and Kaleidoscope
“Desert Kisses”!!!
David Garrett agreed
Benjamin White great use of flanger, rad song
Ah flangers. The pedal embodiment of a funhouse mirror.
Hey Josh.I have a lot of respect for you and your site.Despite having your own line of pedals, you not only promote other company's products, but are informative and in an odd way quite charming and charismatic. Cheers
All time best flanger tones: John McGeoch from Siouxsie & the Banshees in the Kaleidoscope record from 1980. Best of the best: the track Israel only exists because of flanging, and John was the flanger master. He used an MXR 117R but he had it not on the floor, but close to his hands so he could mess with the settings in an expressive way.
My personal favorite guitarist of all time.
💯 He was the best flanger using post-punk guitarist.
maybe it was the same flanger used by Robert Smith with the Banshees a bit later, he also had one in a stand near him (as seen in Nocturne)
Love the MXR flanger. It's just so easy to get that 'Unchained' sound out of it. It's perfect for heavy rock sounds. The Micro Flanger is pretty rad too.
Josh, Kudos to you and Nick for some fantastic videos and reviews. Also...LOVE your Color Box. Adds thickness I couldn't get from my amp alone. THANKS!!!!
The Retro-Sonic Flanger and the ThorpyFX Camoflange both sound good. By the way, you guys are awesome. I bought one of your pedals off Reverb and it needed a repair and it was turned around so fast. Seriously appreciated. Thank you again. I know that ASAP was redefined on an earlier episode.
When I first started playing guitar, a friend's dad gave me his Boss BF1. It was the only pedal I had for about 10 or 15 years. I put flanger on everything for a couple of months. Almost every track. I still have it in a box somewhere because I thought it was cool because it was so big and clunky. I would have imagined it older than mid to late 70's, but I never thought about those kinds of things in those days.
I used to have a DVD Audio copy mixed in 5.1 of Yoshimi. To this day, that is the most amazing mix of an album. I still tell people about it. Great pick!
Great rundown! Flanger is that kind of love it or hate it pedal, but I believe that it definitely serves as a melancholic nostalgic spice to the sound which is always appreciated by listeners. Personally own a BF-2 but dreaming of A/DA PBF version.
A really important Flanger that Josh missed: The Colorsound Flanger / ADT from 1977. The ADT setting gave instant 12-string effects to 6-string players. The ADT could also be usefully applied to vocals! It was an 18V job, and used a SAD512 BBD IC (made of unobtainium these days) and was a little bit noisy. I used to add a sub-board with an NE570 on it - pre-emphasis and compression on the way in, and de-emphasis and expansion on the way out - it radically improved the noise floor of the pedal and made it studio-friendly! This was the Flanger pedal used for a long while on the Pink Floyd records....
When I was a kid just learning to play, I thought "flanger" rhymed with "hanger." That ended when I bought my first one, the two-knob MXR Micro Flanger.
Flang is what monkeys do with poo 😂
@@PooNinja 😆
An older Japanese DIY pedal-projects book has a project for a "franger". Must have come from the same folks who dubbed the earliest Uni-Vibes the "Resley-tone"
Mark Hammer That might be the one I got. PSK FG-1 flanger built in a orange DS-1 case. 3 knob clone of a Boss flanger that I fingernail polish painted 2 colors of purple. So it's like a Boss flanger. 9v powered so it's on my board in a chain. Sounds real good and under $80 used. Kinda looks goofy but it's the sound that counts!
I’ve been playing guitar for 25 years. I literally just found out that it wasn’t pronounced that way right now by watching this video!!!
Yes - Starship Trooper is my favorite flange type effect of all time. It’s kind of up for debate how they achieved that sound but the strymon deco is the closest thing I’ve ever heard.
I've copped that tone with my Deluxe Electrc Mistress. Great song!
Ultimate flange song! Do people really debate how they did it though? Based on the year alone it’s gotta be actual tape flange. I know this episode is all about LFO based pedals but for me it’s always about chasing a tape-like sound, so the Deco, Catalinbread Zero Point and Chase Bliss Spectre with a bunch of ramping are where it’s at! Mr. Black Shepard’s End also produces some awesome sounds not bound by the predictable LFO cycle.
I'm gonna look for mine (original from the 80's) and find a place in the signal chain for it again. :)
Great episode. Not a fan of flangers, but it's always good to learn this stuff. And Kudos to Nick for the editing.
Cheers
I was never into flange but recently got a Boss Hi Band Flanger and it is wonderful, it's like wind cascading around what you play
First of all, that Pearl pedal was amazing!! Secondly, I LOVE the "He Has the Box" bit! Hahahahaha soooo funny! Love that you can make fun of the things that you take seriously, which proves you don't take it TOO seriously 😉 You walk a very fine line between cork sniffer, and those that make fun of cork sniffers lol
Finally after years, there's my Flanger episode.
No Moog Cluster Flux to see there, probably because they're already expensive enough.
I discovered your channel a few days ago and it's already my go-to. "Let's see if Josh has something to say about this first." Keep on rockin'.
For a lack of new videos I'm re-watching the old stuff and I have to say, don't worry Josh, WE DO CARE ABOUT THE BOX!
You missed the Yamaha FL-01 analog flanger...i set it low and use it as a dark sounding chorus pedal...i put it right up there with the electric mistress..fantastic pedal. great video as usual.
Just came here to support “He Has The Box” however I can. 👍🏻
The Pearl FG-01 was the first effects pedal I ever bought back in '82. Stupidly sold it during the first wave of digital all in one boxes: Yes, Zoom 9000, I'm looking at you! However, I managed to track down another one a few years ago and it's sounds just as awesome as I remember. And, yes I have the the box, too!
Great show guys.
Peas and fluff, Mick x
Great episode man! Super fun
For all the flange haters: sorry, but I just love the flange used by The Cure, shoegaze and dream-pop bands
Indeed, also The Psychedelic Furs' Sister Europe.
The world will be never safe with flange haters out there!
Oh I hate flanger so much! I could kill him! :D
Don't forget Andy Summers and David Gilmour
flanger is a very psychedelic effect. people need to hear it while on mushrooms.
While watching this episode with my nearly 3 1/2 year old daughter, she starts to tell me how Josh makes the unicorn pedal. She then got obnoxiously excited when he held up the Boss bf2, because I own one.
Really?
@@Ndlanding Yes, really. She has a fascination with pedals and drum kits for an unknown reason.
How many people have bought the Unicorn because of their child?
I just love this channel!
"HE HAS THE BOX"! That makes it sound better, In fact it makes it LEGENDARY! Good stuff Josh:) Thought I was the only one that has all my pedal boxes, instructions and packaging
The Police- ‘Driven To Tears’
Speaking of the EHX Electric Mistress, I had (wish I still did ! Arghhh !!!!) the original EHX *Polychorus* (the one with the internal power supply) and I absolutely loved the Flanger on that.
this was super entertaining. thank you.
Josh; we are effects folks. We ALL care about the box.
What great sounds! Flange, always one of my faves on guitar, keys or vocals.
Keep the fantastic material coming.
My Friday lunches have become a "Josh and a sandwich" thing.
Same here. I love to watch these while eating for some reason
@@22z83 literally same.
Exactly the same, haha. The episodes just the right size for my work break.
The Cure's "A Forest"....game over!
Josh, that bit of smile you seem always to make when making pedal collecting jokes...like you want to laugh at your own joke is totally 60% the charm of these videos.
man I am re-watching SEASON one of JHS pedals today...
meaning all your videos about types of pedals :D
I used to have a Boss BF3, it was awesome!! The Boss high band flanger is pretty sweet too! When are we going to see a JHS flanger????
I’ll be first in line for the, “He has the box” T-shirt!
I wish I had the box :/
I don't know what it is, but the way you deliver the lines you say is so pleasing. I feel like I could listen to you talk and make bad jokes all day, and I'd laugh all day too.
I love flangers. Had quite a collection of them a while ago, but sold most of them... rent, diapers, etc... KMD, Yamaha, boss, no name specials... some of them I used to open up and play with the trim pots inside to get some crazy sounds. Kinda like the pearl in the video. 👍🏼Wish I still had them all, but the only one I’ve never been able to part with is a maxon fl-301 (small box reissue, I think). It has a beautiful subtlety and tone that I love.
Thank you for this video!
Josh should set up a museum exhibit somewhere. It would be amazing to get to actually experience some of his knowledge and his collection in person.
I can't stop laughing at "He has the Box". I ALWAYS get the box when buying pedals, I have the same fetish lol.
Great video, as usual. Plus a french t-shirt. So, it's even better !
Well who knew I own a legendary flanger? The Guyatone PS-004 was the only pedal I owned for years. Everytime I think of replacing it...nothing else quite does it. She Sells Sanctuary through it with some delay and using a Bich 10 string is awesome. And yes I have the box and instruction manual, but the battery cover went missing one day. Another great video!
The Boss BF-3 is my go to. It has the standard sounds of the classic BF-2, but I love it for the Gate/Pan mode which I use for stutter effects. It also has a momentary mode where it’s only on when you step on it
Like mine 2… that stutter is a cool effect 🤘🏾
And people don't realize that the BF-3 is also a great chorus pedal, as well as great rotary effect! The only flanger on my pedalboard. I did also like the Strymon Orbit, check it out!
The ADA was my favorite. I bought one early 80s when I heard Robin Trower used it. Has always been my fav Sounding of any flanger for it's tubular resonant sound. I thought you were going to leave it out but you saved the Best for last, ha! Great
Pat Travers used an ADA flanger for years. When Trower was using flangers, he had two different Electric Mistresses on his live pedalboard, with different settings.
Putting multiple flangers in a chain is fun to try with various instruments/sounds. It gets extreme super quickly, but it can be tamed into very pleasing textures.
This is absolutely the best channel/show or (whatever the fuck you call it) on CZcams. I’m serious. Even if you don’t play an instrument. Even if you were deaf. It’s just the best. You never feel the need to fast forward through any of this guys videos. I love it!
Mother Love Bone’s song ‘Come Bite the Apple’ has my favorite through zero flanger sound ever. It only happens for a couple of seconds a few times throughout the song but it is glorious.
Man, that Pearl is instant "She Sells Sanctuary"!
I’ve always had an appreciation for the boxes my pedals come in and do in fact keep them along with everything in them, my favorite one being the box from the stone deaf fx PDF-2, absolutely love the pedal and the art on the box
so glad you included the MXR
late 70s early 80s as a soundman on a budget I used it & a Deluxe Memory Man on the PA for vocal FX
Your editor's attention to detail regarding the "He Has the Box" bit is amazing... the way the video degrades for the still frame... well done!
I really love the flanger sound and my go-to is the Ibanez Airplane Flanger because I feel like it has the most "organic" and unique flanger similar to the A/DA weirdly enough... my only gripe with it is how big it is. I use the take off sound all the time live, and I really wish they made a mini version of it.
Josh, I always save my boxes. I am sure you understand, but I am always so excited to see that my used pedal off of Reverb came with the original box.
I was a big fan of the 80s big clean flanging sweeps (which I use) and Andy Summers' flage work in The Police, but very recently I rediscoved Patrick Simmons' flanger in Doobie Bros' "Natural Thing" and I LOVE it.
I always think of the Cars album, The Cars when I hear Flanger. You're all I've got tonight seems to be coated in a warm blanket of Flange as does Don't Cha Stop. I'm not sure if Moving in Stereo is a flange on the synth but it makes me feel flangey.
Elliot Easton, another Legend too. He is Sofa King gooooood.
Moving in Stereo I think of Phoebe Cates
Jamie Stephens 💯
*Dan Steinhardt has logged in to the chat*
Just got the Line 6 Liqua Flange because of this video. Thanks for the excellent content ALWAYS. IN IT`S ORIGINAL BOX!
Awesome video! I have the FX75B, one of the first pedals I got when I was a kid. No box though.
My favorite flanger album is probably The Pod by Ween. Alone comes to mind.
the best flanging is on Todd Rundgren albums, especially A Wizard/ A True Star and Initiation!
My favorite is the signature Airplane Flanger by our friend Paul Gilbert. I use it on my bass rig, and it's extremely versatile. And for anyone thinking that the 'Take Off' mode is too loud or too crazy, get out of your living room and onto a stage! It's amazing!
I got told to turn it down when i used the 'take off' mode in a music store. It scared the shit out of me!
@@versnellingspookie I'm not going to lie, it's loud and completely insane. But in a live setting, in the right song, at the right time, it's perfection. Even without the feature, the flanger is top notch.
Take Off mode took my head off, but the Airplane Flanger Taxi Mode is awesome analogue.
Hi! The Pearl Flanger is amazing. I like the kind of sitar sound, awsome!
I have spent a lot of time with the Ibanez FL-9, being one of my first pedals in 1995. It is worth checking out for a mono flanger for sure. It does the self-oscillating thing and sounds super deep when you want it to. The trim pots inside can exaggerate this too, or using a lower than 9V power supply. So many tonal options!
My first flanger was a Boss BF-3 and it's definitely one of my favourite pedals, I've recorded a few riffs with it and it sounds awesome. As for my favourite records with flanger, my go-to is always She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult but some of my other faves are The Spirit of Radio by Rush, Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love and Atomic Punk by Van Halen
Josh: Here's an album that I'd recommend to listen, just because it's over-the-top with flanger in many of the songs. It's a good one, tough: Heavy Metal The Movie Original Soundtrack. Not sure if the recording engineers / OST guys were on a mission to show the power of the flanger or just were having a really nice trip the first time they heard one and wanted to share the loooove!
Totally! I had that on vinyl and finally replaced it with the CD, and that was one of the first things i noticed. Well, besides the neat variety of good tunes.
The album and the movie are great.
Awesome movie
Most of the songs licensed for the movie were either due to friend of a friend/owes me a favor type stuff or because the musicians were cheap. None of them were intended for it save for one song-Blue Oyster Cult's Heavy Metal (the Black & the Silver) which ironically got cut from the film due to time & budget constraints.
I’d already had my heart broken numerous times by the Phillies and Eagles by 1982 and had bought and worn out Queen’s News of The World and Dire Straits Making Movies by then BUT you know more about how all of those great sounds were achieved than most. Thanks for explaining. I love your. Channel.
I just plugged in my Electric Mistress Deluxe XO on a board with the twin Twelve. Great episode!
Victorialand Cocteau Twins - dark flanging on acoustic, bass, synth and drums all over the place. Favorite Flangers, Mr Black Tunnelworm and Boss BF-2
William Soderman Robin is my second cousin, it’s quite annoying really that I haven’t met him as an adult. I don’t remember meeting him at all actually. I think I messaged him on MySpace as a teenager haha... anyway, this means I still haven’t seen any of his gear! Think he lives in Paris/France. Let’s go find Guthrie’s Gear! 😄
@@practicalpatch4969 I read an interview where he used the EHX Electric Mistress and SPX90 for flange.
William Soderman thank you! I I’ve kinda avoided going to deep into the web but my family are useless about music! Will get stuck in some day but thanks for the start 🙏
@@practicalpatch4969 Robin also used Clone Theory
No no no no... He never used flanger except the "broken" boss bf2 sometimes over the chorus to add complexity. He always preferred chorus. At the time he used the chorus and pitch shifting of an Eventide Sp2016 (plus other rack gear). Remember that he also produced the albums and made some of his own pedals...he knew a ton about processing in unorthodox ways. Moreover there is no bass on that record since Simon Raymond was working with another band; same for drums machine...
The Pearl flanger sounds so mystical, reminds me the sound of The Flaming Lips - Atlas Eets Christmas album.
It is a fantastic album! Many great tracks.
Maybe it’s cause I’m mainly a drummer, but that Pearl pedal really made me smile. Wish I had one of those
“Yes, I have more pedals at home.” Are any of us going to try and get him some help?
He was born and raised in Mississippi. There is no help. It's something in the water down here.
We're all worried about Coronavirus, but Josh has to be worried about Polio touching that old foam.
Nice vid - some of my own favorite flange sounds can be gotten with the Ibanez DML10 Modulation Delay II
The boss BF-1 was one of my first pedals! I got it a year ago from a nice lady from my church, her late husband had had a bunch of gear that she felt needed a new home! Still the greatest gifts I've ever received!
That's very Christian of her 🤗
Just wanna mention the “Let’s Go Crazy” flange solo that Prince played. I believe he used all Boss all the time. (In the studio, who knows?)
We had the electric mistress in a band I was in and we ran a mic through it and played kazoo to get the synth sound on Swingtown which was our opening number. We let people know right away that our band was different lol
I do not like flange, but you have taught me that, "yes I do like Flange', thank you Josh !!! I have found many awesome sounds with pedals I have so want some of your pedals ... in the interest of science of course !!!! I wonder if we will hear some of these pedals on recordings in the near future ?
Great episode .... informative and hilarious . Really liked the Pearls fake sitar sound .... and the Guyatone , what can you say . I had the MXR 4 knob for many years and liked it with all the knobs fully counter clockwise . A weird thick doubling sound .... I don't think you could eat it with a spoon though .
