Chase The Light. Arknights has a tradition with releasing songs for chinese graduates every year to celebrate the summer break and that they are done with studies. And this is the newest one. Echoism. The person behind amiya is someone called Theresa. She is very important in the larger story but I wont say more due to spoilers. I Will Touch The Sky. The theme is actually dedicated to an NPC. She comes from the Lone Trail event and her goal is to reach space. She abandons everything in order to achieve it. And her name is also a nod to the Wright brothers! Its a very cool event.
Vows of the Sea is a sea shanty, and they are sung in unification by sailors and pirates when they brave the ocean, but sadly Ulpianus is singing alone (lore reasons) which brings a sort of melancholy to the whole mood and experience. As for, I will touch the Sky. The lyrics and visuals are heavily lore related, and I can't really say a lot about it without spoiling big time, it's one of those times when you have to know the story and then things click when you watch the video.
ill be honest, I Will Touch the Sky was my fave on this batch, followed by Echoism. The breaking of the song in "I will touch the sky, I will reach the eternal light" makes me go insane every time I hear it.

Ulpianus Theme One of the Abyssal Hunters (very powerful sea characters.) So i heard bloodborne and its a fair comparison. Last one is Kristens Theme A scientist wanting to touch the sky and for the first time did. Such an amazing npc but cant talk too much on her or why this song is just so good without getting into world spoilers. Looking forward to Monday!
The amount of spoilers I WANT TO SAY about [I Will Touch The Sky] and [Rhine Lab] IS ENORMOUS. But I'll keep it to this. Kirsten, the girl, just wants to go to space. Not for any originium and oripathy-related reasons. It's simply her dream. I will also say that her going to space is a breaking point in the game's story. It's such a massive deal in game that it got its own song XD
Since the song Vows of the Sea is a sea shanty meant to be sung with people, it's sad seeing/hearing Ulpian sing alone. So I kinda want you guys to group up and sing with him like you are part of his abyssal hunter crew! Would be very fun to see.

Echoism is much more impactful if you know the lore. However, even if you listen to it as a stand alone, the lyrics and the second voice "echoing" play a big part in the spirit of the song. It has such a nice melody and kudos to Casey for doing such a good job. The echoing of the second voice gives the song a character that completely changes your perception if you play the game compared to just listening without any context. I find that a lot of Arknights songs carry lots of meaning in their lyrics. If there is a suggestion that i can give to help contribute to your channel, it's that you should listen carefully to the lyrics and discuss them. I'm sure that I, and a lot of other viewers that appreciate your channel doing these Arknights reactions would absolutely love to see. Personally, i think that you guys are funny and it feels like I'm watching videos again with my younger brothers who are now overseas. I think it would be awesome for you to engage with the Arknights content in more depth. Would you guys be receptive to doing "let's plays"?
