Today on BaldHeaded Metal I'll be reacting to INSOMNIUM Lilian. I love heavy metal, hard rock and classic rock and music in general so this is right up my alley! Join me for the reaction and see what i had to say! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm a sucker for melody that's almost folksy married to harsh vocals. And they did it perfectly. Great reaction!
“The Torsåker witch trials were a horrible source of nightmarish inspiration,” commented frontman Niilo Sevänen, which transpired during 1696. “All that talk about 70 women beheaded in this small Swedish parish? It’s real stuff from history! And as if that weren’t enough, there are also some very dark tales of cannibalism and child murder from the years of the great famine.”

Aah Insomnium, masters of melody. The main melody has been playing in my head since this dropped. It's going to be painful wait for the release of the album. By the way, Sakis Tolis is featuring on the album!
Sakis is everywhere dude lol
I've never been disappointed with this band, and I wasn't disappointed this time either!
Yeah completely agree with what you said It's interesting that you started off saying that you expected melancholy because when I listen to it that's what I noticed as well and I would say that's kind of the standout aspect of the song. I also like your conclusion about how maybe they've matured past anger but retained their signature sound.
I think it is a difficult thing to do but they are more relevant than ever!
The energy and skill going high was a good point. I can't recall whether it was Insomium of Swallow the Sun album review on Finnish magazine that was mocking them for broken English.
\m/ Pre ordered this morning looking forward to this
Thank you too! Have a nice metal weekend Peace and Metal \m/
You should check out Starless Paths from Insomnium's latest album, it's like a "Twilight Trails" part II :-)
I was so looking forward to hearing the new song from Insomnium, but unlike many, I am quite disappointed. The song is just ok. The melodic line is quite simple and repetitive. I hope is a slower start like they did with Valediction for the album Heart like a grave (which for me was the song I liked the least from the album).
Hei, all good with you ? You've disappeared for a while...
Hey dude yes that has been the case. Work, family among other things just no time for youtube now. I hope to be able to come back to it in the futurew but not just prioritizing the most important things. I really appreciate you checking in on me man
@@BaldHeadedMETAL Well, if it's just about normal things in life, it's great. :-) I'm glad you're ok. :-)
This is the first time I will say this about insomnium... Unfortunately. To me this sounds a little generic.
I like the band but this didn't do it for me 😐.
I will listen to it a couple of dozen times and see if it opens up 😆
