- Galway Girl is a hit song by Steve Earle, popular both as a country song and an Irish song. In this fiddle lesson I go through each section (intro, verse, instrumental), using on-screen sheet music, showing suggestions for the fiddle parts.

One of the best tunes by Steve. A smash!!! I loved it the first time I heard it. Thanks for presenting it here. You are a fine teacher, my friend. Better than the fellow who taught me mandolin basics. We didn't work on tunes, just pick direction and 1/8 note runs, phrases, arrpegios and flow from measure to measure, which I picked up straight away. After 5 lessons, he told me there was nothing else he could show me that I would not be able to figure out by myself. He pretty much FIRED me, ha, ha, and I was paying him. Thanks, again, for all you do for us. Cheers,. Bob
Thanks Bob!
that was brilliant, i really enjoyed it...and i cant even play the fiddle
People like this one Chris , I've played it usually with a mandolin , another is Dirty Old Town and in Ireland they love it too .

Hi JS. Send me an email to haighchris@hotmail.com.
do you actually think this is a lesson??? you're joking right?...this is just a demo!...a display.....just showing off!
Hi Graham. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. What would you have done differently?
@@TheFiddleChannel enjoyed your playing mate...but not simplified enough for me.
@@grahamnoft4420 Hi Graham. Sorry, that's the level of all my videos. If I explained everything bar by bar, and scale by scale, bow by bow, it would take an hour to get through Galway Girl!
@@TheFiddleChannel yes i know but even if you did just a phrase or two that way would be good.
@@TheFiddleChannel an hour is fine
