    This is amazing what he is doing for addicts. I am now sober however I did do hard drugs for 5+ years. Lost over 20 friends, as to my close friends 1 is dead, 1 is homeless and one is in prison. Those are the only 3 options you have as an addict and I have seen them first hand. I am now sober 2 years plus some change. Have a good job, Have a family with my girlfriend and future steps son and really got to see what the world has to offer me. I wish I had a man like Robert around when I was 15 and my heart goes out to his loss of his son. On that note I love the videos and inspire now to make a great life for myself and my family and watch these videos everyday! Thank you for the wonderful content Valuetainment!

      Zachery Moore bloody well done! My husband had a terrible childhood and took to taking drugs for years. His best friend died in a car accident when they were 17.....and, he just sunk, self medicated, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do. This went on for years, and years. We’re in our 40’s now, and our kids are grown and healthy, and our lives are great. DONT GIVE UP! Easier said than done? I know......but, you write down the upside of drugs, and then write down the downside.....it soon snaps you out of it. Be well, and take good care......👍🏻🌸

    Forget about his work on the O.J. trial...to ME, the most important part of this interview and, it was a surprise to me because I didn't know about it beforehand, was him telling the story of losing his son to drug addiction and the realities that go along with a drug addict's progression and the lies they tell so convincingly to hide it...he was absolutely spot on about ALL OF IT. The lies from the addict, the fact that you can send a loved one to the MOST prestigious and acclaimed 30 day rehab program on down to a government funded 30 day program and nearly every addict WILL relapse on the 31st day. Fact. Sometimes within HOURS of release. I'm sorry for his loss but truly appreciate his brutal honesty about this horrific problem we face in this country, particularly for our youth and our own children. Best part of the interview and the most important part, imo.

    @32:10 is the most crucial moment in what is just an advert on what a brilliant lawyer shapiro is and his businesses. Just after this time frame he admits he ALWAYS wants to know what actually went down so he can credibly defend his client. What most people forget is that Shapiro was the LEAD Lawyer at the beginning of OJ Simpson's Trial and only later ceded to the PT Barnum of the Case, Johnny Cochran, so given this, Shapiro MUST have known what ACTUALLY went down on the night Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman were murdered. Shapiro KNOWS OJ Simpson is Guilty of their Murders; I reckon Robert Kardashian KNEW of OJ Simpson's guilt as well because his face at the end when the verdict was read is one of absolute shock. The "Dream Team" went the Racial Route because any other route would have led to OJ being RIGHTFULLY convicted of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goodman's deaths. No wonder he no longer talks about it - scared he might let slip

    • @pjpredhomme7699
      @pjpredhomme7699 Před 3 měsíci

      There are several flawed assumptions on your part. The first is - that Shapiro was the lead - and he is the one that started the whole racial component. His investigator had done digging and found out Fuhrman's colorful background . 2nd - he actually hired Johnny Cochran and brought him onto the case. As has been well described - Shapiro was a deal broker - he did not go to court -which is the case 90 something% of the time. So he began "playing the race card " as a way to gain leverage to get his client a better deal. He miscalculated his ability to manage the other people on the "scheme team" and it got away from him. He always knew OJ did it the idea that lawyers represent innocent wrongly accused is feasible but is more for the movies.

    I would love to talk to Mr shapiro about the prescription drug epidemic. I have some unique ideas on how to get people off of the opiates, prevent young kids and adults from ever starting, and getting more information out in the world. Most people truly do not know about the opiate epidemic other than the most basic facts, people are dying from it. Thank you Mr shapiro for giving so much to this illness. Thank you for being a great example of a human being for caring so much after you went through the most tragic event any parent can endure.

    Sounds like OJ paid him a lot. Here is a question for you:
    If you were in OJ's shoes and could get a lawyer for $10,000 with a 60% chance of success or a lawyer for $10,000,000 with an 80% chance of success, who would you choose?

    • @myplatemylife6813
      @myplatemylife6813 Před 6 lety +6

      The answer to your question comes down to....how much you value your freedom:-) Who cares if you saved $9,990,000.00 if you're sitting on death row:-)

      Your example is horrible. 10k for 60% chance or $10M for 80% chance? $10M for 95% chance would actually be a better example. Or $100,000 for 80% chance, not $10M

      The man gave great advice to civilians on what to look for in an attorney and he gave great advice on how lawyers should behave in court. He also has a message and a mission to honor his son's legacy and to help children. It's too bad that your attention span or intellect just couldn't cope with an old fashioned interview. You must be a fan of "the view" or "first take"

    A lot of misconduct occurred on behalf of the LAPD and Robert exposed, some of them. The same issues still occur and were uncorrected. Vannatter testified OJ was not in custody and free to go which was a lie. Vannatter talked to OJ in handcuffs and for them to be taken off, he got OJ to agree to "volunteer" for a ride to Parker Center. Notice Miranda has to be read to people in CUSTODY, so they read this to him. People are continually tricked this way, free to leave but not free.

    • @theloanranger2632

      Miranda has to be read prior to interrogative interviews. I don't think it has to be read for an arrest, does it?

    It’s interesting he calls drug addiction a “disease”. No its not a “disease”. It’s a result of poor choices.

    • @kimecosx
      @kimecosx Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah I was gonna say it’s just a habitual issue more than anything. But the moment someone truly is struggling trying to stop but they literally can not stop and they begin to lose themselves forever then that is what I believe he means it’s a disease. Usually people who suffer from mental health issues are more likely to not be able to stop their addiction due to the brain doesn’t allow them to function without it. The beliefs that support the idea someone needs it when they don’t and it’s killing them or ruining their life is the literal disease.
