Maybe I should combine this view with the driver head camera to get the most immersive action. Would be nice to get rid of the wind noises though.
@@gearheadboats484 Sounds good 👌And yes the struggle with wind noises when trying to film fast boats is pain in the bottom...

How is the ballast tank filled? Is it just a water pickup with a manual valve and the water pressure from running fills it up?
Yes, cable actuated pickup. Magnetic valve opened for emptying it.

As long as it goes nose down leveled it is like a knife and very smooth. If the nose gets high and you expose the pad to the waves you can feel not having a classic V
