Oh, man! You're building the things we imagined that we were building when we were kids. 😊
IF ONLY !
@ Eric.
Oh guess you told me something.
Can I see your structure/structures??
Definitely cooler than any fort I built in the woods
@@erisdiscordia5429 Wattle and daub structures have been inhabited for millennia. With proper maintenance, this one could last 3 to 5 years. It's not 'just mud,' it's clay of different purities and consistencies, sometimes strengthened with fiber, layered over each other and air hardened.
I've heard I said, and I believe it's true, that whatever gave us joy as children is our true life purpose. 🥰
This is why it is important to let kids play in the dirt, play with their hands, let them get dirty! I bet, anyone who would try doing something like this- it would wipe away their depression! So natural and peaceful compared to our busy, noisy, high tech world! Whenever I get involved in nature outside I feel “normal” again. I would love to do this! My childhood friend and I were always outside adventuring, we often say how thankful to God we had a childhood & did not have phones and such. We miss those days so much. Thank you for sharing! Must work up a mighty appetite when working like so, making any meal even tastier with hard work done. I like reading people’s comments and stories too.
Dude, you make things that look like they come out of the story books and fairy tales of our imaginations. I could only imagine stumbling upon one of these in the woods, you do a spectacular job. Keep on building.
Thank you !
Fairy houses, but adult human sized. Love it!
Like something right out of J.R.R. Tolkien!
Excellent work, beautiful!!
One of the most creative bushcraft shelter projects I have seen. Kudos to you, sir, you are an artist builder.
Thank you very much !!
I agree. Very creative. Watching this build was very meditative, as are all these kinds of builds, but this one had an added dimension to it.
We thought you couldn't beat your last shelter, but you surprised us!
You're the real deal, please continue. Thank you!❤️
Thank you very much for your comment I will continue
@@ATHOSOutdoorProspector what tool is that one called the one u used to makes holes on the wood
@Deruex Z Check local antique stores and boutiques, there's loads of the old manual tools for sale all across the world for very little money and the tools usually are in good enough shape to continue to work.
The fact that you hauled shafts into the house just to throw them out for that cool "catch" bit not once, but 3 times is awesome. 110% dedication to the craft, and not just the house either! Lovely hut!
Thank you !
@ATHOSOutdoorProspector Is it clay that you're finishing the roof with? Really impressive job, how many hours do you think you put into it? 👍🇬🇧
You truly are a tremendous artist, you build not only mine but many others dream forest houses.
I grew up living in camps in the woods, sleeping out for days at a time.
I built a few fairly good shelters most semi sunken but your work is on a god level!
Thank you
Charlie 🇬🇧
Thank you ! currently I work for a new shelter soon news 😊
He didn't build it. He did cuts that made it look like he built it while other people did the actual work.
I second this emotion 🙌
@keithwatson8228
@@keithwatson8228Wait what? Do you have proof of this?
When you began carving the faux brick pattern, that's when I was absolutely convinced you are not only a fine craftsman, but an artist as well! Cheers!
The boss Athos
Every new project your cob/brick skill improves! Very 😎 sir
The green patches on the roof are amazing.
thank you for building the coolest forest cottages....makes me smile everytime. You are truely an artist, and I appreciate you sharing your creations with us all.
So good to see you in your element, as this crazy world just keeps getting crazier, and your world just keeps getting creative😎👍❤🖖
Very nice, my friend. I really appreciate this type of video. The shelter is done very well and neatly. Congratulations👌👌👌
It takes ONE fine builder to truly appreciate the work of another! Each of you adds a great deal to CZcams Bushcraft builds.
I remember when our grandparents build houses out of straw and mud, and not having to work 40 years+ to afford a small apartment...now these type of houses are regarded as old fashioned or "poor". Somehow, at some point, someone made us think that we are stupid and cannot build a house, and therefore we must get loans from the banks, work a misserable job all our lives, and miss out all our youth so we can afford a home. We fucked up , and we must go back ! Thank you for all your inspiring work sir !
With skills like those, you'll never be homeless!! ;D
Hi friend, we hoped to see you soon in your videos, an excellent refuge that you created, I hope you continue showing us your projects, greetings 🇨🇱🤠👍
We’ve been waiting for this!
СПАСИБО Вам за очередной ролик!
Really amazing work. I appreciate how you don't try to hide anything like other primitive construction channels
It is always such a wonderful day whenever you upload a new video. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world, Athos!🙏
beautiful work brother!
I will envision this style of shelter everytime I manifest my off-the-grid living dreams. Absolutely awesome✊🏾
Thank you for curing my boredom at 3 AM. You truly are a very good person
You sir, are an artist!
Two thumbs up! Great video. Thanks!
Great layout and design. It's this breed that will survive the great reset! Glad there's more people out there building homes for Gnomes and other forest dwelling beings. Kudos 👍👌
Omg please please more Minecraft this was everything I never knew I needed
Each shelter is better and better!!! Loving your style!!! Keep p the great work!!! God bless!!!
Thank you very much 🖤🙏
@@ATHOSOutdoorProspector YVW!!!
I am grateful for your channel as you are a brilliant craftsman and teacher. Many thanks, and God bless you.
Brother, you're the best! You helped me become a Bushcrafter! You're my teacher. Thank you.
These are the things that make me happy. Being creative… true art and going back to our roots . Kids naturally enjoy playing with mud and dirt for a reason.
Your creations are beautiful! Bravo! 🤩👍
Yeahhhhhhhh!!!!! First 🥇
Thank you!!! 🙏😊
@@ATHOSOutdoorProspector Thank you, Athos. Good to see you, my friend!👍👍
I can't find the words, one is completely enchanted when watching. A wonderful soul rests within you. You have been gifted with a wonderful gift. 🙏 💝
Thank you very much ❤️
For some reason, I'm imagining he had a dream the night before, where he was a fantastical, well known, and well liked wizard. And he lived in the forest, in a magnificent hut.
Then he woke up. And just had to build that hut
Love all your shelters! They have real craftsmanship
Thank you very much 🙏🖤

Thanks for all man.
What a beauty in natural art. ❤️
Thank you very much!
This is adorable! The video really taps into the childlike desire to build and create! If it weren’t so humid I might go outside and start chopping 😂
Thank you !
The movie Willow comes to mind, how wonderful 🇨🇦🙏🙏🙏
Happy to see you back. You have been missed. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!
Another masterpiece. Well done.
Hooray! A legit builder! The cool thing about these mud huts is after a few years of being abandoned, they go back to the earth with no real everlasting effect on the surroundings. Soon, trees will regrow there. Bushes and flowers. It will be back. This makes it beautiful. It won't last.
You're an artist! It's so great to see that lots of people are fed up with civilization and consumerism. You look like someone from a childrensbook. I love it! Keep it up!
You are truly unbelievable! Craftsman extraordinaire! Beautiful cabin!
Thank you!
You are really a genius of craftsmanship, it is beautiful !!!! Congratulations
Very fine, couldn't be better. Hand tools, quiet. There's a few humans who do things right and they show the rest of us. May our species evolve at a more rapid pace.
I'm really interested in your roof... What are the layers, how do they work, and how long will this remain waterproof? And is this type of roof suitable for a more permanent shelter?
Just one small earthquake, or one big storm.
@@timbushell8640 I would disagree, he has a pretty decent setup with the structure being essentially "pinned" together with wooden dowels. He also sealed it up with an old and effective method using cob (mixture of clay and plant fibers) which is really good with providing insulation and structure. However after an earthquake or storm, it may be likely that there will be some damage which would be relatively easy to repair. My only possible concern is flooding, given that the floor had been escavated.
@@timbushell8640 This man is very talented and understands his surroundings. This structure is very sturdy
Just if he would take the bark of the wood sticks and let the wood dry a bit and burn them a bit, the house would last longer... But now the wood will get rotten especially where it touches the ground and all of them will get a lot of termites soon. It can last 4~5years the most
Incredible! This is my favorite house you’ve ever built! Very much looking forward to seeing inside, it seems so cozy already
Thank you very much soon the suite with the complete decoration inside
Check back after a good rain. Cozy mud pit.
@@andyslater2320 you're clearly talking about things you do no understand.
@@everdeneb4811would not say so. I too worried the whole vid about water resistance. He seemed to construct a nice moss/dirt insulation but at the end of the day its still dirt. A lot of the fake channels sell plain dirt mixed with water as the non plus ultra homemade cemment. But this channels looks incredible genuine so i wonder hard what he used exactly and what the intent behind the various layers is
A stress test would be welcomed aswell

Whoa... incredible! I'm about to binge based on these comments. Well done!
I love that you put the long version on your shorts cannel, and the short version on here, lol. Beautiful creation, as usual... thank you for the entertainment and the education. It is clear that you take great pride in your craft, and that you put much work into creating these wonderful videos. Much love to you, and may great blessings come your way!
People don't like videos that are too long. That's why I do this on my Second channel. Thank you very much for your comment I will come back with news soon!
Salut Athos. Félicitations vraiment du beau travail. Un véritable architecte. A bientôt ✌💚
Merci beaucoup !!
I didn't know that dirt and grass made a roof ! you are very talented.
I am so very impressed. You have incredible skill and taste. Bravo!
Great looking shelter, you're really showing that you have the spirit of a craftsman when you build these things, there are numerous shortcuts you could take and things you could leave off that would save a ton of time and you do them anyway. It shows in your work, hence 'Craftsman', you have a lot to be proud of, the least I can do is like it and comment. Thanks for showing it off and giving many of us ideas
Wonderful and magical!❤❤❤
No bills no rent no stress just nature ☺️ this is how humans are meant to live
I especially enjoy Athos Outdoor Prospector's amazing creations. True artistry and creativity!
Glad to see you back
Amazing! love your builds they have such a whimsical/ fairytale look to them, love it.
Amazing how the watching of such physically demanding work is so relaxing. It's like therapy. I wish that I were in the position to actually try this!
Dudes turned this into a goddamn art form. If I came across this and there wasn’t a man sitting out the front. I’d say a pixie lived here… looks awesome. Crazy skills at getting this place looking this damn good with so little.
How blessed you are to have soil with such a high clay content! Those walls and roof must have very high “R Values!”
Curious on the chimney… is it going to open into a fireplace?
Id love to know the ratios for the mix
Someone should make competitions out of this amazing concept.
It really amazes me when I see this. With just a couple very rudimentary tools and some time, you created a little space that I'd be comfortable living in for the rest of my days.
Simply Amazing..
Love watching these videos you are a great craftsman
You win the Gold Star for "PATIENCE" & Steadfastness.
Way way way beyond my pay grade. 😃
Cool design.
I just wish there were more channels showing builds like this that actually NARRATED what they're doing so we understand the techniques you're using.
Too many channels are silent now. Extremely unhelpful.
you can blame the liberals for that! no one wants to say the wrong thing and get cancelled!
Your shelters are beautiful works of functional art. The skills and details are well filmed. They are an extraordinary education without the need of words. Peaceful and mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thank you!
Glad to see another video, it’s been to long! Really enjoy your work.
You Sir are extremely intelligent 🤓 and gifted!!! And when the folige you've planted in your beautiful home starts to grow and root into it it'll just reenforce the entire thing!!! Gifted I say simply gifted ☺️!!!!
A building so beautiful and close to nature
It's just awesome. Thank you for sharing this wonderful build with us, Athos!
Outstanding job sir, great video
Definitely one of the most beautiful builds I've seen! 😍

Wow! Absolutely a masterpiece! Your craftsmanship is in a class of its own! I so enjoy watching your videos! Congrats!
Thank you !
it was a long time to see yours vidéos !! how are you Athos ??
Hi! I often watch all your videos, you have a real talent for building interesting and unique huts and shelters! You obviously take the matter seriously, I'm just starting my way in bushcraft, but I think that I will also try to build interesting and complex shelters in the likeness of yours over time. In the meantime, I'm training and filling my hand, so to speak, gaining experience.
Thank you very much 🙏
Love it! All of it!
Look at this guy go! What an intricate construction! So cleverly done and with such skill and imagination!!!
Impressive and whimsical!!!
Well done…
Bravo le résultat final est magnifique 👍👍👍
Merci beaucoup mon ami !
Salut l'ami ATHOS content de te voir beaucoup de boulot incroyable 👍👍👍
Watching something like this come together is really cool! However, if you are considering building something like this than understand it takes months and months and months to complete a project like this. Maybe even a year or so. The more elaborate you get the longer it takes. There’s no way a shelter like this could be built in just a few months unless you have a lot of people helping you.
This shelter I built alone last year, currently I just modified it to be able to enjoy the daylight and see the nature. It is important to know that I am on a private property and I take the time to do simple things as I like!
This isn't just building, it's art. Such a shame that we wouldn't be able to do that here in Britain.
Are there no public access woodlands on Great Britain?
How come you couldn't build it in G.B?
Type of soil is my guess??
Wattle and daub,is a tradional building method in the u.k. many houses are still standing after hundreds of years, they were made from a mixture of animal dung ,soil, horse hair or chopped straw, mixed with water, built on a stone foundation, to raise it from ground level. It was always thatched with Reed or straw, wide enough to jut out far enough to protect the walls from running rain water, this building wouldn't survive very long in a wet climate like ours.
Great job. Love these building techniques and design. Seems like it would be very rewarding. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you !
You really are very talented, Athos. I'm so jealous that you have somewhere you can do this? I can't wait to see the interior finishes? Love it!
you always build the most beautiful buscraft structures i have ever seen! any time i see you pop up in my feed i know im going to see a work of art!
Now that is a well built Shelter! I like the way he took his time making the Chimney, walls very well insulated! Superb Job!!!
Your shelters are better than my house.
Your mud pies look better than my cooking.
Просто чудо.. Очень красиво! 👍
