  • This story is about a carpet from thousands of years ago. Though it is not known where it came from, it traveled across borders on the shoulders of nomads. It has seen many civilisations until it was frozen in Mongolia until today. Nursena Tuter has more.

This is a very interesting discovery. And I am also suprised how this carpet survived 2400 years with vibrant colours. Very impressed👏🏻

Thank you for this great report on our research. The coloration technique already used 2500 years ago, i.e. fermentation, leads to deeper penetration of the dyes as detected by spatially resolved x-ray fluorescence. In this study the aluminum concentration was measured. Aluminum is the metal ingredient of alizarin, the red dye which is also known as "turkish red".

The Pazyryk rug was found in 1949 in the grave of a Scythian nobleman in the Bolshoy Ulagan dry valley of the Altai Mountains in Kazakhstan. You can clearly see blonde men riding horses. It has nothing to do with Iranians. You can read: "Les Scythes, les ancètres des peuples germaniques et slaves" by Froféric Guillaume Bergmann.

Ironic how you say that it has nothing to do with iranians because it's apperantly scythian and the depictions are blonde? For one the geneticaly nearest modern people to the eastern scythians are all central asian turkic groups, none of who i would call blonde. Second just because it was found there doesn't mean it was made by them, quite contrary everything hints to a western asian origin of the carpet

It angers me how there's always so much arguing about and attempts at suppressing anything that clearly shows W h i t e people. All these modern Persians or Turks etc get all worked up when they aren't even the same people as those there this long ago. Just say it..the ancient Persians were " wh it e people" as were the Scythians. Stop doing everything you can to avoid just acknowledging the truth, people.
