Tip for any younger aspiring decal-er's out there. Plain old hairspray can be used instead of the toxic sealant.
Also the first time you decal a helmet be extra careful. Something else that helps when decalling a helmet is to get an official lego clone helmet and to compare the helmet that you are decalling to get the placement and everything correctly. I hope i could have helped someone.
thanks for the advice! also question are decalled clone troopers good for stopmotion? or will they scratch up or etc.
I dont really think it will scratch up if your careful with it, but be careful with the legs the hips need to be carved very carefully to stop tearing the decal.
@@cornmanstudios6450 if you dont want to carve the hips then you couls get 2008 style p1 clones and just not decal the legs

I love the muunilist design, I agree this is a much cheaper way to get your favourite clones ina variety of styles, however it does take time and effort. I would recommend this to everyone even if it seems a little expensive at first

Usually decaling is cheaper
In my experience , I have found decalling quite difficult and they're easy to mess up. I love the way they look however and some people pre-decal them anyway 👍

Seeing you slide it off thr clone and reset it made me a lot more confident to start when my decals come.

Awesome vid! Would love to see a video about making these typa guys with paper like I did! I got the helmets from CAC after printing a clone torso print onto one of the torso cutouts u made! I have Rex, Cody, Gregor, Wolffe with helmets and Fox, Howzer and boy without helmets!

I started using a masking tape method with AV decals so you don’t have to carve out hips or struggle with assembling your figure. Put small pieces of masking tape on the bottom of the hips, the hole the leges use to connect to the hips, cover the rod on the hips, cover the part on the arms that connect to the body, and put a thin line on the outside of the connection area on the body for the arms. Now of course you won’t be able to move the legs but I definetly recommend putting tape on the connection points on the arms, especially if you’re not using very detailed decals.
I really wish decals were precut. That would make it a lot easier and in my opinion. It would also leave less room to cut them and mess them up
This really makes me want to decal my own clones as well

Finally a video about decalling and can you guys tell what's the best clone for a starter
The best clone to start with is probably a p2 or p1 grunt. We talk about it a bit in the video. Hope that helps, let us know if you have any more questions :D

He Said About Sand Paper And Metal Polish But You Can Just Use Nail Polish Remover Instead For Print Just A Bit More Messy Also You Can Use A Swiss Army Knife Because There Are Tiny Scissors That Are Better For Cutting The Decals Because Your Hands Dont Need To Be As Steady As An Exacto Knife
Does the mould line remover have to be that specific brand? I know it may sound stupid but in all the videos about decaling I have watched it stated that specific brand and not just a mould remover generally, thank you.

Are airborne decals easier than phase two trooper decals? I’m a beginner and I’m trying to decal a captain Keller and muunilist pilot decal. Would these two decals be good for a beginner?
If you don’t have the money for something like metal polish you can also use an eraser to get Rid of prints it takes a while buts it’s the cheapest option
I like decaling because it’s the only way I can get a plain white phase 2 clone trooper for a cheap price
Did you know you can also remove the printing off the torso by simply using an eraser from a pencil

Great video but i dont find the blank parts on the Lego site do someone know how i can find them?
I think its only the legs that are blank (white) we got a Zane ninjago body with a black background, because it was cheaper than the white bodies.

hey i don’t know if you guys know this or not but don’t decal clones in a confined area, decaying contains a lot of harmful chemicals so its best to do it outside
