After 9 years, I am visiting Pakistan again. This time, I am flying on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) B777-200/LR from Dubai to Islamabad. Find out the latest PIA in-flight service and passenger experience onboard the flight. PIA was the launch customer of the B777-200/LR. I flew on the prototype on my flight to Pakistan.
After landing at Islamabad, I met up with PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik, he spoke openly about all the PIA issues and how he is going to fix the airline. We discussed issues about the EU blacklist, the credibility of the pilots and return PIA to profitability. Chief commercial officer Ali Qasim also discussed the latest fleet strategy and consolidation of European operations.
PIA operated many rescue flights out of Kabul, Afghanistan, and flew about 5000-7000 people out. PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan shared with me some of the first-hand details of the challenging operation in Kabul.
Stay tuned for Part 2 next week, I flew an exciting PIA flight to Skardu in the Northern area of Pakistan: • Pakistan’s Most Exciti...

PIA is being running by retired army officers since many years and it's the darkest era of PIA.
In this video , CEO of PIA is blaming the civilian politicians because it's their mentality , they think that all the civilians are corrupt and bad but we are the only honest people in the whole country.
It's very hard for a civilian to get a pilot's job in PIA as well because they hire retired air force pilots usually.

PIA was banned from US since 2017 so now I have to take either Qatar (top airline standing at no. 1 currently) or other international Airlines to fly to KHI. The passengers themselves also never respected the flight attendants or rules regulations at take off or landing plus PIA has had bad reputation because of the politicians involvement. PIA and local airlines need to improve heavily and I mean heavily when it comes to safety and proper training when it comes to flying pilots need to put in hundreds of hours.

Staff are not as friendly as other airlines. It’s always cold on their flights. Bad experience overall. You sure? While I don't doubt Pakistan is a beautiful country (mountains and all), last I checked many people were getting killed for not following the Islamic law.
In France, a teacher got decapitated because he teached liberty of speech and made fun of Allah and there were whole processions in Pakistan to support that killing and accuse France of being infidels.
I doubt the safe part, especially for foreigners, the Pakistani army has been known to support jihadi operations near the Indian border.
Perhaps there are many nice Pakistanis but at the same time, I'm sure there are many nice north-Koreans too, would I go to north Korea? No, not because I don't respect it's people but because I don't trust I'd have any safety in a regime that has been known to kill people easily, the same goes with Pakistan.
