Frozen Garden Village Resort | Weekend Destination near Kolkata | Ghatakpukur| ETSR

Welcome to another travel vlog of our recent one day trip to the Frozen Garden Village Resort.
It is a weekend getaway near Kolkata situated just 45 kms from Saltlake near Ghatakpukur on the Basanti Highway.
We and our friend Anup and his family went together this time.We started early on a Saturday morning from Saltlake.We took the EM bypass and just after crossing Science City we took a left turn on the Basanti Highway.Then after crossing Bantala, Bhojerhat, Ghatakpukur we reached Chandipur and as per Google maps we took a right turn and after travelling for some kms we finally reached our destination - The Frozen Garden Village Resort.It took us around 1 and half hours to reach there and the road condition was pretty good.
There was ample car parking space, so no issues on that.We checked in and was allotted our cottages.We had booked 2 mud houses there and it was the first time we would be staying in a mud house.The resort has a village look with small ponds and mud houses with thatched roofs, although there is a swimming pool as well.The mud houses were of standard size with clean washrooms.
We were served our lunch which had rice, dal, alu bhaji, a veg shabji, shorshe pabda, chingri malaikari , chatni with papadThe weather was pleasant but cloudy.After lunch we straight dived into the pool. We spent some good quality time there chilling by pool.In the evening we were served chicken pakoda and tea.The resort looked magical in the colourful lights. We had some good time listening to music and taking photos.At dinner we had roti, rice, a veg curry and chicken.
The next morning we were greeted with the chirping of birds and swans paddling on the pond water.Early morning scenes was really refreshing, a small walk around the resort with fresh oxygen rejuvenated us.
Now coming on the cost, the mud house tariff was Rs 2500 for one night and the food package was Rs 1200 per head which included breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.So for a couple the total cost for 1 day was Rs 4900 for fooding and lodging.
We were served tea and biscuits.For breakfast we had luchi with cholar daal and alur dom.
That’s how our 1 night weekend trip comes to our end.Overall we spent a great quality time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.The service was good and the food was delicious. It is highly recommended from us to visit here.
