- Dutch Style Planted Aquarium - Massive Trimming! Almost every month I do plant trimming for most of my planted aquariums. This time I filmed My Dutch Style aquarium's trimming for you. I had an issue with my camera and I used my iPhone for filming. Quality is not as good as you expect from my channel. I really hope I can solve my camera issue for the next video :)

1:20 holy wow THANK YOU 🙏 ✊ that was beautiful right there! Almost every aquascaping montage video I watch like this I pray creators will start labeling just like this. To be fair you have always been so good about labeling throughout your videos and you even manage to do it in a artistic cinematic way which is really cool. However, doing it exactly like this here is so helpful and it was done in a very clean attractive fashion. I prefer just seeing it at the beginning all at once where I can pause to study and compare all the plants and their names. Then the rest of the video I can focus my attention on the visuals and beauty of the plants and cinematography without having to worry about spending my time reading a label quickly before it cuts to the next scene and I miss all the rest. Otherwise I miss the label and am constantly hitting the backup. Sorry for the rant but this was the first time I’ve seen what you did here in anyone’s videos and it was truly a joy to see hah. Hope to see it more, not just on your channel but across all platforms for all creators.

Gorgeous tank! Crazy how many stems you get from trimming! I’ve tried that golden nasau before and it melted on me! Guess I needed co2 🤣 I will try again because it’s a unique plant!

Watching a plant trimming session is therapeutic to me. I feel so bad for all those healthy plants you had to throw away! anyhow, great video, I enjoyed it and to be honest, the iPhone camera wasnt bad at all 😉
In the beginning he did say he has another plant dedicated tank... but yes, agreed , I hate throwing plants away.

A massive trimming session. Rotala is a super fast growing plant.
What would be the real time of this trim sesh? Like not just including the trim but removing all the plants relocating/disposing them, changing the water, ect.
Do you leave the filter off the whole time without issue?
It would take me a minimum of 4 hrs from start to clean up rushing ha

Would you please share your fertilizing schedule and dosing? I love your videos so much but I can't never do what you do.
What do you with the extra trimmings apart the ones set aside for propagation? Can you help novice hobbyist like me to set up dutch aquascape. I am unable go find Rotala Yao Yai, Rotal Pearl and Nesea Gold. I have dutch aquascape setup with Rotala H'ra, Ludwigia Repens, Pogostomi Hellferi, Alternanthera Reneckii Mini, Marseila Hirsuta, Monte Carlo, Hydrocotyle Tripartita. Any help is welcome

How are the base of the stems not rotting from low light? When my high light stems get even 3 times that light level near the bottom they rot.
I love Dutch style aquariums, do you put the cuttings in a bowl before you throw them away? There seem to be a lot of baby shrimp in the tank, would be a shame if they are trapped in the cuttings, gives them time to escape!
That’s a perfect question. I keep the cuttings one night inside the container with filled water. In case baby shrimps are trapped between the cuttings. the next day I rinse the plants inside the container with small portions and most of the time, I find some baby shrimp 🙂

I can recommend you to look at local pet shops.
How the bottom leaves of the plants are so lush , when i trim my plants they are not that lush can u tell me the reason. Most of the times bottom leaves of my plants fall off
Not only this tank check other videos! Plants always same! Proper maintenance. Dosing, optimum, fertilizer, and optimum lights and CO2 is the key.
@@Tropictank do you replant the tops and discard the bottoms of stem plants after some trimming sessions
Now try and do this with shrimp. They won't move.. I got to full 2 additional buckets and put the plants there. I always find shrimp 🍤
