    Nice set up. You might consider developing a package that adds extensive 110v charging capacity in the cab. I have multiple cell phones, tablets, laptops, flashlights, and cordless tool batteries that all need to be charged simultaneously. I currently use an inverter and a power strip for this, but it is a fairly crude set up.

    I live and work in Southern California and have a 2007 Ford F650 Crew Cab service truck with a 7k IMT crane and IMT Hyd air compressor that I bought new in Oct 2006. Unfortunately with the new EPA laws here in Ca. I will no longer be able to operate my truck at the end of 2020 because it’s no longer Carb Compliant. I’m looking to either purchase a Peterbilt 337 cab & chassis and switch my service body or purchase a complete service truck ready to go to continue to operate here. Laws out here are just making it harder for the little guys to make an honest living. I love the style of your truck and always wondered why the toolboxes are on the drivers side?????? I had mine built with the slide boxes on the passenger side.(Think about it). I work on heavy equipment and on the road truck repair and when on the fwy the traffic is going on the driver side. Very dangerous to be pulling tools while the cars are flying by. Anyways thanks for taking the time to show the detail and all the features on your trucks.

      Hey thanks for the comment! Good question on toolboxes near drivers door… We’ve built a handful of trucks over the years with toolboxes on the passenger side but not many!! The last one we built was for a customer in new England that was also doing a lot of service on the side of the road and also didn’t want to be standing in traffic looking for tools. I’d say the vast majority of the trucks we sell are working on jobsites with plenty of real estate all the way around the truck. Fortunately you can put boxes and setup your truck however you like… that’s one of the fun parts about this job. Keep doing what you’re doing out in CA!!

    That truck is bad ass, but I don’t think I’ve ever met a mechanic that preferred to pull up in his bad ass Pete, with the auto trans. Lol

    This thing is unbelievable!
    Does IMT has has an option to build a covered sliding roof for the dog house? Here in Canada most of the trucks have covered bodies, otherwise the amount of snow we get here, it would always be unusable mess and just a collection of snow/ice covered oil buckets and parts. What about ladder racks for the top of truck to keep ladders organized.

    • @qtequipment
      @qtequipment  Před rokem

      Thanks Oleg!
      Appreciate the questions. Yes, we’ve got a couple videos of tarp and telescopic top (sliding load space cover) options. 2 from IMT and a few aftermarket options.
      As far as ladders go, we usually design / fabricate these in house to customer specs.

    Possible to get this in a under cdl setup? Or is there not enough capacity to keep it under cdl?

    • @qtequipment
      @qtequipment  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Drew! Thanks for checking our channel out. Not going to get this under CDL unfortunately. We have built some KWs and Peterbilts with shorter bodies (11 foot versus 14) that have been 26,000 GVW so under CDL. Really gotta watch weight though to keep legal.

      sorry for late reply... email sales@qtequipment.com and they can shoot you a budget quote on a stock unit. Will be more for the welder and additional cab space, etc but will get you in the ballpark.

    Is it standard to build a truck and then budget for the tech to set it up the way they prefer?

    • @qtequipment
      @qtequipment  Před rokem +1

      Not really. Most of our fleets prefer to standardize everything. They may make an exception on a case by case basis for exceptional techs. This fleet gave their techs the most amount of latitude to choose what they wanted. Some fleets have too much turnover to make a custom truck for every tech practical.

    What's the tow hitch rated at to pull a trailer?

    • @qtequipment
      @qtequipment  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for the question!
      2” receiver hitch - 2,000 lb. tongue weight / 16,000 lb. gross trailer weight.
      Pintle Hitch - 6,000 lb. tongue weight / 30,000 lb. gross trailer weight.
      This body has both options.
