Because not only would the data from incarceration rates demonstrate that MTC and their ilk (CCA, GEO Group, etc.) are simply on the prison gravy train for the profits, these promotional videos seem obviously meant for MTC to spin its image.
When you get down to it, all the well-meaning, sweet-smiling petty functionaries that run the facilities (which are _not_ the majority, BTW) don't change the facts that lowest bidder-based economics of incarceration profiteering means that facilities receive minimal budgets, are chronically understaffed, fail to meet some of the basic medical requirements of its captives, consistently pressure every department to cut costs, skimp on some of the primary care needs like hygiene and food, and often mask a culture of abuse and exploitation. (Ask me how I know.)
If some pretty pictures and syrupy, pandering words are all it takes to make you think a prison is "nice" and that the company "cares about the" captives, then I call that naive.

@@FernLovebondit’s depends 😂 some people there are not bad people and this type of correctional is for people who wants to be someone and let their past go they allowed them to study and to do another recreational things but as you know it’s not a nice place it’s still a prison and there are a lot of criminals too

    • @FernLovebond

@@milanyelisrosales5406 You seem to think which facility someone is placed at has anything to do with who they are. It doesn't. Is a bed available? Next number in the que is placed there. That's it. Talk to anyone who actually works in the system which places captives into a facility, the classification department. They'll have the real information. It comes down to statistics, which don't often represent reality. A "well behaved" captive is just one that hasn't been caught by a guard who has an interest in turning a profit on that situation. The career criminal who pays the price can enjoy the nice bunk with a first-time offender because they know how to play the game.

Why is Cameron Herrin innocent? He might've not intended it, but he ended the lives of two innocent people. I'm sorry, he should be punished.
