I see some innuendos here about Julio’s character. This interview let me see a number of things: This is an artist sincerely trying to express in a different language, how he feels about singing. Clearly, he is passionate and driven. Music and singing is in his very soul. He is a perfectionist who wants to be able to let people feel the way he is feeling when he gives himself up to the music. For each and every song. Which cannot be easy to do, but that is why he has now sold close to 500 million records, putting him in the top ten musical artists of all time. That is because he IS a true artist, like a Monet. One who absolutely loves what he does. In his own way, he is a genius. Artists and geniuses are deep, always feeling insecure while they are aware of their talents, which then can make it difficult for people who do not have the same thinking, the same passion and the drive for perfection. So to me, it is to be expected that Julio Iglesias cannot be easy to work with or live with, day in and day out, like some people complain. An artist like him is totally in love with his work, which to him, is synonymous with breathing. I am sure that if he gets frustrated with some part of his creativity, he might take it out on those around him, by being moody or demanding. It might be difficult, but the result of everything, is another gorgeous song or album. 2,600 gold and platinum discs are the result of that effort. If one is going to be around him or any other talent like him, they should be prepared for some tense situations sometimes. After all, his 2nd wife has been with him for 34 years, has borne him 5 children and, has said although she was at first intimidated about dating him, she “fell madly in love.” You can’t do that if a guy is a bad lot. I don’t think we should be quick to point out that he can be difficult, because he has often pointed out his faults, himself. I’m just grateful that the world got to see an hear a singer of mesmerizing and talented delivery. I love this interview because it is very deep and honest and I got to understand a little of the mind and feeling of the owner of most unique singing voice in popular music, in the world. Enrique kept it in secret and his plan was to actually avoid the "Iglesias" surname and use a "stage name" in order to have an independent career, out of the typical comparisons that would come regarding his famous father. Several years have passed, and it's safe to say Enrique is bigger in the U.S. than his father ever was, though Julio is one of the greatest Latin singers along with Roberto Carlos, Luis Miguel and Juan Gabriel. Julio and Enrique are completely different as persons, while the son is always respectful towards women and has a solid 20 year relationship with Ana Kournikova, his father is usually joking about how many women he has slept with, even when his wife is around 🤦🏻♂️ .

M.Jackson, Elvis and Abba (yeah, the swedes ones) are some of the top 5 best sellers in music, Julio isn't among them, though if we make a ranking with Latin artist only he'd definitely be very high ranked.
